Anyone know of a any alternates to the wheel woolies? Eimann Fabrik Wheel Woolies
NEW Looking at something to get to help clean my honeycomb grill as a brush can be a pain (Not my pic)
I feel your pain on that honeycomb grille, I like how it looks but don't like cleaning it. Normally I just go over it with my wash mitt when I'm doing the rest of the car and give it a good blast with the hose and that gets it mostly clean, I know that doesn't sound very professional but since my car never gets really dirty it works for me. Dressing it, on the other hand, is a right pain in the butt. I use a foam brush but it takes forever...any other suggestions are welcome.
smaller ez detail brush for dressing it... if you are garaged. tape it off with garbage bags and get some stoners more shine and spray away
I agree with D2G, I have the smaller EZ brush and use it in my grille. Otherwise, microfiber on a stick.
Going to be using G|Tech C4 permanent trim sealant so just looking for cleaning methods... Will have to see how the small ex detail will fit in there... Hmm have to dig some out and see.... But liking the look of the woolies and swear I saw something that looked the same somewhere...
I thought Chemical Guys had something similar to the wheel woolies. Here it is but might be too big: Gerbil Sheepskin Wheel & RIM brush
I have been using the EZ-Detail Brushes for a couple of years now; they work, but make a mess when you pull them out of the wheel, as all of you already know.. And they eventually break at the handle, so that is a pain.. I eventually broke down and bought the Wheel Woolie set and have not been this happy about cleaning wheels in a long, long, time. They really work, don't make a mess, are actually more efficient, and the handles will probably never break, except for the smallest one, if you bend it really hard. The material that they used for the cleaning end holds a lot of soap and cleans really nice. They are not inexpensive, but at some point, I had to ask myself - how many more shirts do I want to ruin with black soap spots that hardly ever come out ??? I think they might be on sale, or there is a % discount or free shipping going on over there right now.. The C/G Gerbils tools have too short a handle to do any good inside the wheels, but the business end looks exactly like what the W/Woolies are made of.. Dan F
The Gerbals are too large for the grill...i may just break down and get the 2" woll dohicky i think that would be a good size to get in and not have to move around much to clean it up.
Why not just get the woolie set... The small one is PERFECT for that job and the large one is something I wouldn't ever want to be without...
I bought the set, ill tell you they are well worth the money........ epecially on wheels. I dont know how i survied prior LOL
yep was gonna say the cg gerbil for wheels i just ordered these from pac...... murci has the same hexagonal mesh on the rear Foam Cleaning Popsicles Pkg/6
I think I am going to order the woolies. PAC has free shipping over $49 so just need 1 extra item to meet the minimum (but then you have to agree $40 (with discount) is a fair price.
This should also work to clean the grill and even possibly to apply G4 as it comes with 2 foam heads Recessed Wheel Lug Nut Cleaning & Polishing Brush, clean lug nuts, Corvette rims
