I'm currently finishing up my detail with fg400, and will be topping off with Hard Body. If I wanted to use 1z paint polish and Megs machine glaze, would I notice a difference in the shine/gloss? If so, what order should these items be applied? Just not sure if the s&s will give the gloss and depth.
You do not put a glaze under a Coating, make sure the paint is clean, wiped down with IPA. BUT I have found that after IPA S&S really helps with the HB. So, FG400>IPA (or S&S) then HB. Coatings really do not give depth, they are very sterile or optically clear. If you want depth you can wipe down after the HB has cured, with a QD, Spray wax or something like V7. I use V7 or Reload, gives it a bit more pop, not not really "depth" ............. also, you are following me on instagram, I think I posted some pics of HB with Reload.
Ok thanks. Trying to finish up for the most part tonight. I'll be using the s&s, hb, then top it with wax tomorrow morning.
keep in mind, if you did the application right and HB is doing its job the wax wont stick to it very well. You may get a week out of it. With that being said. I do use reload or v7, knowing well that it wont last that long. But I wash my cars once a week, its just more a post wash wipe down and gives it a extra pop for a few days. Post up pics.....also let the HB cure for about a day, and are you doing two coats?
I wash my car quite often, with it being black, it seems to attract dirt everywhere I go! I put on the first coat of HB last night, then put another coat on this morning. Ive got to drive it this evening, so I will be putting a coat of 1Z glanz wax before I leave.
