Hello All, Is this wax really worth the $175.00 price tag? I know that it also includes 1 refill. How does it compare to Pinnacle Souveran? Thanks

 

Just got that email as well Misha, too bad all these good deals don't come around in the summer instead when people actually have more cash to spare.

 

That's how I got it last time, Misha. It's really worth $100 considering you are getting one free refill...It's better then Souveran too.

 

i personally wouldnt spend 175 on it, but i would 100

i have the small tub i got off our local supplier, and only used it once recently on my mates GTR after correcting his front bumper only - it goes on smooth, and suprisingly spread very far - two swipes to prep the pad did the whole front bumper with plenty more to go

it also left a really nice cotton candy smell in the air while using

left a nice finish on the bumper, and definitely looking forward to using it on a full detail on my own car

 

i can't say much as i have never used other high dollar waxes but i picked up a tub used and it is AMAZING. goes on super smooth comes off with no issue.

remember this is the only $100+ wax i've used.

 

I'm going to make the plunge... I too have never bought a high end wax but this makes it affordable. With the free re-fill it makes it really cheap ..

Now i'm wondering what the other Tues. Cyber bonuses will be..

Am I the only one who is totally annoyed with AG over the past few days? Most places let you know what’s going on sale instead of making you wait. I don't buy from AG, for reasons just like this. It irks me that they don't lay out their deals up front so you can make a decision of what you are going to buy. I'm sure there are plenty of people that already spent all they could b/c they didn't know this was coming up. I mean come on even big box stores tell you when they are going to have a TV marked down 50% and that is a much bigger investment than some overpriced/under-performing wax.../rant

 

Yeah, its annoying, but they know what they are doing. The point is to get everyone into a shopping frenzy, and it works. Look at all the forsale stuff where people dump their collections, like 1/2 the stuff is un-opened AG stuff.

 

Fuzion is the most expensive wax I've used and it's also my favorite. I only buy it at the $100 price point with one refill and free shipping like the sale going on now.

It's super easy on and super easy off. Durability-wise I'd say it goes strong for 2 months on my car before I feel the need to re-apply. Even though it's WOWO, I find it easier if I apply it to the whole vehicle and go back to buff off where I first applied so the wax can haze up and bond. If you wipe off immediately, it will just be oily to buff off and you'll end up re-applying more back onto the paint.

Again, I am a big fan fo this wax at the $100 price point as I have three pots sitting on my desk. One has been refilled, the other two are still brand new and not yet refilled, only because it goes so god damn far it takes me forever to finish a pot.

Yep, you're right. They know exactly what they are doing. I have seen those threads, but I always assumed it was BOGO stuff. Funny how when all DP stuff is BOGO you magically see 5 FD threads appeared with a DP stuff...lmao. I still refuse to buy from them though. There is nothing they have, that I want, that I can't get elsewhere

Same here. I have run out of sealants since usually thats what customers get, but I rarely have customers request carnuba wax, so it all goes on my cars. At that rate I'll have most of them forever.

 

the interweb would have me believe AG is the largest detailing product supplier in US.....and by some margin

so if that's true, then i agree, they know what they're doing

also goes to show how much mark up is in a wax, or from a different point of view, how cheap they must be to manufacture. I've always thought the packaging costs more than the ingredients in most cases

Bought one at the $99 promotion one year. Liked it so much, I bought two more the next year at the same promotional price.

 

hmmm i personally dont see the point of double'ing or in this case triple'ing up on the same wax

id rather be fooled into thinking i was buying two completely different waxes.... you know like vic red and rg 55
