so the water stopped flying off my windows when i would drive, so i htought that a coat of zaino clear seal would work on my windshield. Not only does zaino seem to not bead all that well, but it caused my wipers to chatter like crazy. The car is pretty much new and the wipers have only seen 1 winter so far.

do you guys ever face wiper chatter on cars that you have detailed and do you have solutions for this annoying problem?

I had that problem when I treated my windscreen with DG 105...then I removed it, and applied Klasse AIO and that problem was gone...

im beginning to think that no protection is better than any at all (may i remind you that talking windshields here lol). Im going to try an alcohol wipedown and may a qd wipedown.

I miss the beading that my car had when i first bought it. never had to use the wipers on the freeway.

I've used Optimum Poli-Seal on its own and it worked well. I've also used Opti-Seal with good results.

I've used Blackfire WDAFPP .Menzerna Powerlock & Werkstatt Acrylic Gloss on all of my windows with no problem.
I'd keep trying different products. One of the coolest things in the world is seeing everybody else having their windshield wipers on full blast when you hardly need yours at all :worship2:

Klasse AIO doesn't offer you the best durability though...I'll experiment different sealants/AIO but Klasse AIO performed even better then Zaino AIO on windscreen.

I use Collinite 845 on my windshield and have not found it to affect the wipers at all. I have it on my parent's cars as well and they haven't complained and it produces great beading and releases water very quickly with good durability.

I have had chatter as well and follow this procedure to cure it 98% of the time.

    1. Polish the glass with a glass polish like 1z glas polish or even a paint polish, clay the glass before polishing as well.
    2. Clean the wiper blade with some IPA to remove any grime
    3. Clean glass with IPA (full strength)
    4. Apply Opti-Seal (have not had issues with it once i have polished the class)

Klasse worked well also, I will be getting some g|tech glass sealant soon which should last almost a year for me and should work great from everything I have read and testing.

Main reason I have found that glass does not clean as well is because the surface is rough and water and not roll off as easily or be wiped off by the wipers. Also wiper can get contamination bonded to the blade which can cause chatter.

How long have you had the wiper blades on the car? I had my OE set last me over a year and still worked great and current pair has lasted over a year as well. Try with clay barring the glass and polishing it and see what happens.

I've seen a lot of guys use and recommend Aquapel with no problems. Anyone had any poor experiences with this product?

Aquapel is all I use. You can get it cheap and it completely blows away any other product I have ever used in both performance and longevity.

if you want your windshield to be beading for a really long time then you should invest in "Aquapel". I put some on my honda s2000 on march 19th and ten of my customer's cars and it is still beading.

most people are concerned that a water repellent product will make the wipers catch more or clog up. this is not the case with Aquapel. this stuff is rainx on steroids (as they call it) and it is true.

buy some online, they are like 5 dollars for one little capsule, wash the windshield making it perfectly clear with no finger prints and no smears of any kind and then wipe it all over the windshild. I make sure that I smear it everywhere on the glass up to the point where the glass has the outlining black near the trim. DO NOT GET THIS STUFF ON TRIM AT ALL!!!.

if you need the windshild/glass to have a fresh start from the day you bought it then I would suggest that you buy some small uber orange pads from detailersdomain.com and put them on a rotary (makita) and use either menzerna SIP or 1Z Einszett Glass Polish is best but it is always sold out everywhere because it is so effective at removing gunk from the glass.

Aquapel will hold up for six months and in seattle rain it stands the test quite well.

Zaino Z-CS usually needs a base to bond properly.

Right now, I've got 2x Zaino Z-AIO, 2x Optimum Opti-Seal, and maintenance sprays (after washing) of Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield. Crazy ridiculous beading.

I was under the impression that that wasn't necessary with Z-CS
    from their site:
"Can Z-CS be used over another manufacturer's product?
Sure. While results may vary, we are aware that some beta testers used Z-CS over fully cured wax products with excellent results. Z-CS did increase gloss and durability over other manufacturer products. If you'd like to experiment yourself, make sure the product that you're applying Z-CS to has fully cured. As a general rule however, you should not apply Z-CS while any other manufacturer's product is not fully cured. We cannot offer other manufacturer specific cure times, but generally it can take 8-12 hours after application. Z-CS was designed and engineered for use with Zaino Show Car Polish Products."

I almost got Zaino AIO. It was between that & Jeff's Werkstatt Prime Strong.
How easy is Z-AIO to work with?
