Winter - Salt Removal Wash and Protect services offered at our location.

    Helpful Winter Tips:
    • Keeping your vehicle as clean as possible during the winter will go a long way to cut down the damage done by salt and sand.
    • Wash your car often - if you can't in your situation find a self operated/ touch less. Steam cleaning or power washing your undercarriage is a plus!
    • Have your car re-waxed and sealed when you have it washed.
Make sure the car is completely dry
    • Carefully dry the edges of the doors inside and out, including the undersides of door handles, all hinges, plus the hood and trunk edges. This helps keep them from freezing shut.
    • Use a good quality spray protectant on all exterior rubber or vinyl surfaces. It may be best to spray they applicator you are using instead of spraying the product directly onto the surface. This will avoid any overspray onto the paint.

Our special pre-soak was designed to chemically remove the majority of the salt and road grime off the paint, with our touch less approach we are preserving the condition of the paint.

My cars are so dirty!!! I cringe at taking them to the hand wash, wish you were closer LOL. I might wash them in the rain tomorrow lol

What's your pre-soak mix? Say it has OptiCoat on there, what would you use to be as safe as possible?

If it's opti coated, I don't see why you can't use an APC mixture like Adams with a pre soak like AF Avalanche in a foam cannon. And for tough spots I've had great results with AF citrus with a high pressure rinse. Although neither of those seems to be what Phil did on this wash.

I was finally able to wash both my DD's today.

Rinsed with fireman's nozzle (no power washer yet, on my list)
Foam cannon with CG Citrus Wash and Gloss
    Rinse again
Pre-soak with Durgaloss Rinseless with Aquawax
Wash with mix of Duragloss RWA and 902
Dry with MF WW towel and Megs D156

Both came out great, but ton of tar and iron specs even though both are coated and topped :(

Do you find the sonax fallout cleaner has any negative affects on coatings i.e opti-coat?
