If you are a college student then you should know about MSDN if your college participates in it, which most major ones do, see link below to see if yours does. It is a program through MS were you can access for free MS software. Well just found out that Windows 7 Pro the actual release copy has been up on there for a week or so. This is not a beta or RC but the real full release and you will get a real key that will not expire. So talk to your schools IT people and fig out your user id and ps so you can download it! There is some other software as well but your school pics what to put on so if Win7 is not on there then tell your school ID department to add it to the list. MSDNAA - Schools
DAMN! I'm going to have to try and get this, i've been using the Win7 beta & RC and i'm actually starting to like Windows again. If i could get it for free, even better! Thanks
Yep, definitely picking it up through my department club. It has been what I've been doing all these years in college.
I'd rather get Windows 7 Ultimate RTM through isohunt. I don't think it's illegal considering you're required to buy a license by early next year and Windows 7 is still being used by beta testers the world over.
I have debated getting the windows7 update to me. All windows since xp have not worked well at all for me
Damnit! I already ordered my copy of Windows 7. I got the Home Premium edition for 30 bucks though. So I could cancel this and get it for free from Temple?
Just need to see if your school has set up MSDN and if win7 pro is on the list of programs you can dl.
You have to learn to skip a generation. ME was a waste of time, then XP was great. Vista sucked (at first, now it's tolerable) and now Windows 7 is fantastic.
I know for my school it is up to each department. I have a log in from Mechanical Engineering depart as well as Industrial as I am taking one industrial engineering class. Go find a CIS major and have him give you a key,
Haha, Funny thing is that the mechanical engineering department at my school added Win7 to the list of program weeks before the computer engineering department did as my friend had to wait a few weeks till he was able to get it. Just comes down the the person who clicks the button that says "submit" haha
