I just want to know who use a check list when detailing to keep track of what was done.

we have a whiteboard in the shop that we use to check off items as we are done with them.
we also have a quote sheet when customer's walk in, as well the same sheet is used to show the customer the paint depth and other items.

This could help me cut on time, granted I won't have to go over areas checked off.

I don't have a checklist, but I keep a "Detailers Diary" that I fill out at the end of the day. I write down the condition of the vehicle and what steps I used for correction and what LSP. Makes it easier for me to remember what I did last time on a specific car so I can mix up my LSP's.

I really like the white board idea! That way I don't need to keep nagging the guys that work with me about having done something or not. Just a quick once over at the end to make sure everything was done to my standards and out she goes! great idea! thanks :)

The white board is a good idea

Just make sure the checklist on the board is permanent so you won't erase it accidentally and have to rewrite lol

Maybe tape it off with some tape

You couldn't post up a sample of those sheets, could you? I need some inspiration for making something like that and your designs (at least in regards to stuff on the web) always seem to be clean and professional. I bet those are no exception.

Thanks everyone for replying I have a white board but it's white board paint. Works better than a real white board only thing it's takes 5 days to dry.
