thanks! ive been wanting to drop an order for the metabo for liek 3 months::UGH:: ...but other than being short on funds i'm scared!!!! haha i keep hearing that i will be able to pick up the learning curve on the Rotary easily, but still!!! I think in about a month ill be able to order the metabo along with that 3m bumper plate, some more Menz polishes, and a boat load of 5.5 & 4" pads!
Awesome correction there and with the PC no less. Got my Metabo from Phil @ DD and couldn't be happier. Phil is great to work with and I was able to get both the Metabo and 3M bumper plate!
Sweet swirls, man I love swirls, holograms, scratches just love watching them disapear :wicked: it's a good feeling when you can bring a vehicle back to life :thumb: That is a very impresive correction righ there, oh and the mug shot is a nice touch :thumb: Look forward to the rest.....man your a tease  lol teasing eace:
i forgot who lead me into these menzerna products, but i had 106ff for like 4 months and just recently, as in like 2 weeks ago got SIP...i thought 106 was great, but DAYAM these 2 put my PB SSR line to rest. Hey wolfpaker..i know, i want that metabo bad...are u familiar with rotaries or were u upgrading from a PC? how does the metabo feel to other polishers uve worked with? ...haha i could ask all i want, GIVE ME ALL THE INFO to make me comfortable into gettin a ROTARY...FINALLL!*!*! haha oh and by the way...did u get the yellow or black bumper plate... P1et: as far as ceramiclear...i couldn't tell ya, i didnt even know that stuff existed til recently =) ...anyone have any comments on how po85rd would finish on this after using SIP (if it was a ceramiclear coat?) thanks for the comments guys..more pix by friday..or sat =)
If you use 85RD you'll be blown away out of the water how much clearity and a crisp shine you will be left with, specially in black. I find that 85RD just gives the paint that extra umph and even if you use 106FF and then go to 85RD I've been amazed at the difference 85RD makes. As for the Metabo rotary, to be honest Whip Appeal Neil I think you are going to find the transition really easy. I mean your confortable witth the PC (I think it's PC you use right?) well the point is that you have some experiance already, the Metabo rotary, or rotary's in general are not that difficult. With the speed and heat the rotarys generate you'll find that to corect it will take you less tiem and you'll start developing pad and polish combos too. It's hard to explain but with your experiance I'm sure you will get the hang of the Metabo in the first vehicle you detail...oh just becarefull on the edges.
Dayam! i'm all juiced up n shit now...wtf guys! hahaha:woot: po85rd and some PG will be on my next order for sure!!!!!!..so, lemme get this straight - sip and then po85rd will yield me better results than sip + 106?!?! or do i have to do all 3? as far as the metabo..BLAH, okay, i will get it..i promise, give me a few weeks to get soem cash. its gona be hard for me, this semester requires me to be in the hospital 3x a week (fri sat sun) how the hek can i earn some money detailing!!:chest:
Let me know the price on them when you get them, my old ones (flat ones)are done and need some new ones to replace soon. I saw them at a few sites but always looking for a great deal on them. I would like to know if you are going to sell them at a package price too! Thanks ..............................Angelo
Yup, you can go SIP and then 85RD you will notice a large difference. I've done 85RD3.02 then 106FA and then finished off with 85RD and it looks great...but to be honest 106FA may not be required but it all depends on the colour of the vehicle, the clear coat and the shape the vehicle was in. I do the three step system when I use a cutting wool pad, when I use wool it's usually because the vehicle is in really bad shape. Wool pad totally flatens the paint and then you just bring it back to life and 85RD finishes incredably well...but that's just my :2cents: Oh I should say that there are pros that can finish off with a wool pad but I'm not there yet...one of these days I will be there but for now I use the wool and foam combo  Man sounds like you got a busy schedule coming up, take your time order the Metabo when you can but I'm sure you will enjoy it :thumb:
