Just stripped my Jet Black 550i and am getting ready to clay. I am looking to Polish, Seal & Wax because my car is going to have to sit out all day in the hot sun for one month.

Here's the list of Polishes I own:
    - Menzerna PO 85RD
    - Menzerna PO 106
    - Menzerna Super Finish
    - Duragloss 105
    - Duragloss 501

    Which would be your pick?

This will be followed up with CG Jet Seal and Pete's 53.

    Thanks!

depending on what condition the paint is in, you might need to do a 2-step polish. In this case P203S, followed by 85RD. If doing a one step, I'd just do 106, and then seal & wax.

I would stick with the Menzerna. I'm not sure how much polishing you'd get out of the DG. DG105 is more of a sealant and iirc 501 is more of a chemical polish /sealant.

Thanks for the responses. The paint isn't in too bad of condition, other than the roof, hood, and trunk lid which all needed SIP to remove baked on water spots.

I agree with this one. You can even use 106FA after P203S too.

If you stay within the Menzerna family I'd start with

    PO203S - white pad
PO106FA - gray or white pad
PO85RD - gray or blue pad

Followed up by your choice of sealant and protection!

DG501 is a chemical cleaner. No abrasives. At least, none that I can observe. 105 is a sealant. I know it's a little confusing because they call them "polishes".

Two step- 203s on a medium polish and then 106fa on a light polishing pad.

One step- 106fa on a light polishing pad.

I did the one step mentioned above on my black car (really soft paint) a few weeks ago. I had to do a two-step on the all the top panels because of water spots.

Are you doing this with a pc or a rotary?

Do you have any pics of your 550i?

Is your goal to remove swirls or add protection?

Reason I ask is that you list some products that remove swirls and then another that cleans and adds protection and then make mention that you are doing this because the vehicle is about to stay in the sun for 1 month
