Was reading the headlight thread from Toto. Where can I get 600 & 2000 grit sandpaper? I understand I need wet/dry sandpaper.. not all purpose sandpaper, for wood or dry wall. This wet/dry sandpaper is black right? I have XMT #3 on hand will that do the trick if they are not pitted too bad? :shead: Thanks in advance for your help! :applause2:
what brand are you looking for? we usually have 3m brand sandpaper in local autozone stores or strauss store..
+1 Theres a PPG paint supply store very close to me that carries all kind of cool stuff for paint like that. There may be one in your area. Also like they said strauss and autozone or pepboys, maybe even napa.
:giggle: I asked today on my lunch. They only have 1000  :headbang: OK will do! Thanks! strauss :shead: mmmm never heard of them  mmmmm pepboys and Napa :shead: I have heard of them but can't think where any might be. I will look in the phone book or online :thumb: Thanks! OK will do I know exactly where to look for that store :thumb: :giggle: Thanks guys!!!
Meguiar's has their own 2000 grit. It's great stuff and has very good quality control so the grit is consistant and even. ADS sell it by the sheet.
amazon usually has a good set of them also a store down my area called FINISHMASTERS sells dupont n paint stuff for cars/ body shops
I have both the 3m variant and also the Meguiars brand. The meguiars paper if I recall, is made by Nikken ....which is supposedly one of the better brands out there FWIW. It does have nikken logoed all over the backside of the Meguiars ones. As far as which brand is better, I've only used meguiars on car paint. Mirka's another brand that comes to mind as well that is on par with the Nikken brand.
