What's your favorite wheel sealant? I've been using Poorboy's, FK1000p, Collinite 476S, Opti-Seal, and Zaino Clear Seal, and JS109... I do like them all...what's your favorite? Anybody using SV Autobahn? How do you like it? Worth the money?

Have Poorboy's and it has worked pretty well so I have been using that on the face of the wheels. For the barrels that do not see often sealing I use fk1000p because of its durability.

Blackfire All Metal Sealant. Looks great with months of durability.

I see. For barrels I try to use Zaino CS or Opti-Seal only because it's a wipe on walk away product...Or I seal them with FK1000p if wheels were removed for cleaning.

You know, I have a bottle of that, but never thought of using it as a wheel sealant. I primarily use it as tail pipe sealant...Great idea, I'll give it a try...

    Wheel Surface Sealants

Apply a sealant after cleaning to make maintenance easier, use a synthetic polymer sealant to protect wheel surfaces as it has a high melting point (350.oF +) The melting point of an organic wax (180.oF+) is too low for the normal temperatures encountered by vehicle wheel surfaces (195.oF+) Also using a polymer sealant enables the wheel surface to resist the adhesion of brake dust, dust and dirt, and road grime and it makes surface cleaning much easier using only a car wash concentrate and water solution.

Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Wax - this product was developed for German customers of fast motor cars with alloy or magnesium wheels. The product has been tested on German Autobahns on cars with top speeds of 185 MPH (300 KPM) in Switzerland during the winter (Switzerland has one of the harshest road climates in the world using salt and harsh winter chemicals) and on racetracks in Austria and Germany.

Wheels usually get cleaned with DG 501 which also has protection and then get topped by 105. Sometimes I'll use JS109 to try to use it up.

I like PBWS, but lately I've been using the same process as richy. Except I will also use DG AW over the top of 105. Looks outstanding

    Great minds think alike...

When I am in the mood to mix it up I have also used FK1000p, Rejex and Colli 845, Colli 476

I've been going the easy route with Opti-Seal. I also have Poorboys Wheel Sealant, but I haven't been using it lately.

I like applying opti-seal and then a coat of OCW on my Highlander.

I recently bought Eagle's Keep Clean, but I haven't used it yet.

I got really slick and long lasting results with 105 topped with AJT.

I dont like to use Opti-Seal because of its durability, never seems to be good on wheels. Only reason I dont use FK1000P on the face is because application is a pain and rather use something like Poorboys which is really easy on and easy off.

I have always applied 1000P super thin and have not had a difficult time with it......

What about it makes it tough for you?

I try to apply it as thing as possible but it cures on the surface in a few mins but when I buff off it is like scraping off a layer of wax almost. No matter how thing I try to put a layer down you can see the film layer. I have tried using FK QD on the pad to help smooth it out but did not help much. It has great durability but I could not ever use it on the whole car I think. Let me know if you have any tops, I would love to hear them.

Thanks for replies, everybody...So, nobody used SV Autobahn on wheels???

Try Collinite 476S on wheels then...much easier in terms of application.
