What do you guys use on the plasic things that have been chromed on a car, such as the decals and emblems? Are regular metal polishes going to be too abrasive?

DG 501 is great on those.

    Try using a cleaner/wax.

If you have ever purchased a clay kit like Mothers, the small cleaner/wax bottle is good for keeping in the car for water spots too.

I've used Mothers Chrome Polish with good results. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I had some laying around and it worked great. I might be able to pull up some before and after pictures later tonight.

It seems almost any metal polish works but lately I've been using my Autosol with great results.

GLARE is my favourite for plastic chrome
Though you can use abrasives on them with an orbital

I do that alot. Menz 106FF and RD on them is spectacular

If you just want to clean and protect it Klasse AIO works good. I never use a metal poslish on it if it's in good shape.
