Hey guys I need to have a few more pads on hand. I started looking at all the different colors and what they are used for. I know I want to stick with LC brand.
So what is the difference between:
    Gray
    Blue
    Red

I understand the ones with the cross cut and dots are to help the pad stay cool and help with proper dispensing of the product. Do you think this is that benificial when using a PC? Everyone talks about how long a PC takes to break down. With less pad on the surface wont this just take more time with the PC? I am always being told the PC cant burn through the clear unless you apply a ton of pressure and hold in one spot for a rediculous amount of time, right? So what is the real benifit of cross cut or dotted ones when they are used with a PC
Finally what color pads do you guys use the most?
Thanks in advance for your help :applause2:

I have the LC CCS pads and find they work great, I like being able to push on them to get some extra product when I need it.

To me, there is no difference between blue, gray and red. They are all "soft" and non-abbrasive. I use them interchangably.

the grey blue and red are all very close im not sure why lake country offers so many pads. its all up to you the blue is very soft and the grey is a little more dense. its preference really. lake country pads are very confusing i mean they sell 2 diffrent green pads:shead: ones stiffer then orange and ones above the white:shead:. ask joe( dont sleep on it) he will be glad to expaln this to you it drives him nutts:yikes::applause2::applause2:

I hate it when manufacturers try to complicate the hell out of everything (Menzerna JUMPS to mind here!). I have a yellow pad..have yet to use it; I primarily use the white LCC and the orange...I think they're my go-to's for the most part. If I'm using RMG (I do on solid black, I like the wetness), then I'll use the gray (I have a blue one too...I've hardly used it either). In summary, white, orange and occasionally gray/blue.

The Green LC CCS *heavy polishing* pads were my favorite for PC. Not from AG they have a different green but I am talking about the green from danase and Detailers Domain

I had the smaller pads from danase that were 5". I liked the smaller size because I found it corrected faster due to the smaller surface area and higer heat. So you would have to pay attention or you *could* burn clear but you would really have to be pushing down hard and not moving.

The thing I like about the smaller pads is I never bogged my pc down with the 5" pads.

The pads from detailers domain (gotts keep it all with the DB sponsors) also follow the same agressive pattern meaning green is more agrressive than white. They are also a tad biggger so would generate less heat from my observations in case my earlier comment made you nervous.

I would get 5 white, 5 green and 3 Orange and 3 blue

Tonya you know hich pads also work well, the Meg's pads but I never used them with a PC only with a rotary.

As for Lake Country, it's been a wile since I used the Lake Country pads so I can't realy comment.

There are many pads out there...but when you find a system that works for you stick with it and venture out once in a wile...it get's borring using the same thing all the time..lol...well thanks to that mentality that's why I have a ton of pads lol.

    Wel hope this helps :peace:

With the PC I still use LC flat pads (no dots or patterns) with orange used the most. Others are yellow, white, and gray/black.

The Cyclo gets the same colors with Cyclo brand pads which may be made by LC for all I know. Again, the orange ones are used the most. Only once did I have to resort to the yellows. I use the Cyclo ten times more than the PC but I'm glad to have both.

What happened to the Sonus hype? I have yet to try mine, but they do look like good pads.

I like LC CCS green. little more cut than the white pad, but still finishes LSP ready.

I really like megs pads but they fall apart to easy. the backing rips off, then you got to gorilla glue the thing back on like a hack job. Is the w67 BP supposed to be easier on not ripping the white part off the megs pads?

the CG MPT look similar, anyone tried them? they might have a better backing pad.
