What is this???

Howdy folks! New to the detailing world. I have a question and a pic to show you experts.

Took my Jeep Wrangler to one of those automated washers (never ever again) and had just a basic wash in order to use the vacuums.

After the wash I noticed this thing. A bump. Feels sticky but couldn't get it to scrape off.



What is it? What happened? Think a novice like me could fix it or should I get an expert before anything gets worse?

Is it on top of the surface or like a chip?

 

It's on top. I'm guessing it's some kind of cheap wax or something that might have fallen on it.

 

OK, almost looks like tree sap or something to me. Try a tar remover and a soft microfiber so you won't mar or scratch the surface and see if that will remove it. Let us know
