just because most people use zaino religiously doesn't mean it is the absolute best

 

that's just marketing. Zaino is still remains Zaino. Many love it for durability.

 

yes, its marketing gimmick though ... however, how will zaino response for this kind of statement? ... anyway, ultima is very smart to choose zaino as their No. 1 enemy ... many people will notice them from zaino popularities ... its like use zaino for their ads haha ...

Never use both of them ... planning to place order on ultima soon ... some good reviews from DB members on ultima paint guards & tire trims guards so far.

 

Zaino is very popular for durability. Ultima PGP doesn't last as long as Zaino, but it is much easier application. You should try both for yourself. I have both, and like both.

 

I have never tried Ultima..it seems over-priced if you ask me. As far as Zaino goes, that was my go-to product for a year or so until I was introduced to the DG line. I still have a little bit of Zaino left including an almost full bottle of the tire dressing. It just doesn't get used now.

Do u think ultima or zaino not as good as DG? :shead: of course, DG cant be beaten in term of $$$ ... I still considering to add ultima into my arsenal if many good reviews ... I got good response from some DB members abt Ultima guard plus & tire & trim guard so far ... :applause2:

I couldn't agree more. It all comes down to personal preference. One man's trash is another man's treasure as they say. Personally, I'm not interested in either of these products. I'm a carnauba guy so in my mind and for my interests I wouldn't think of either of these products as "the best" at least for me.

 

Layer for layer im sure theyll last about the same time.

I really enjoy using Zaino, but the process is a royal pain in my culo. It takes a very long time to get through all the seperate steps, whether you're using ZFX or not.

But, the end result is gorgeous.

 

I have used zaino and honestly it is a pain and I dont like the process. I was introduced to Duragloss and really like it so far!

 

to be honest, I hv never use zaino before ... so do I, i just like DG more n more now ... IMO, most sealant are the same... like optiseal, ultima etc ... supposed similar to Enviroshield of DG ... spray, wipe on and walk away ...

I refuse to use Zaino because I find the product names infuriating. Z-18? Really? Can't we just call it a clay bar? :lol:

 

I have been using Zaino on my 2003 nissan specV. It's not rare that I have people asking me what year is the car and when I say it's a 03, they always compliment on how the paint looks so shiny.

The only thing that I dislike about zaino is that they are advertise as a "polish" ...

A good polish (I use menzerna powerfinish) and some zaino, that's all I ever did to that car.

 

My conspiracy theory still is that the makers of DG make Zaino!!!
But that's just me (compare enviroshield to the zfx kit!!)

 

IMO: Manufacturer like DG, CG ... they make many re-brand products in the market ... they might change some formula on each brand ...

 

I never found Zaino to be a pain, I mean, put it on the car and let it cure and wipe it off. As far as Ultima goes, it looks as good as Zaino, maybe better on certain paints but it will not hang with Zaino in the durability department.

 

Pour a bottle of Z6 in a glass and then pour a bottle of Duragloss 921 FCS in a glass. They look the same, they smell the same and the results are the same. Same product. Z6 is $9.99 16 ounces, I get 921 at Carquest for $19.43 a gallon. You can guess which one I use all the time.
