hers what i did . washed hood only . then clayed entire hood then polished with menzerna 106ff and a 5.5 white pad. with my p/c the wiped entire area with alcohol wipe down . to leave a squeky clean surface for waxing. no pre cleaners just pure wax.

leftside of hood is wax A right side is wax B. some shots of hood were with out the paper marking a of b because they kept blowing off but you get the idea . also i splite hood down the middle with painters tape..

    here is a before shot

i know this was just alittle test. but as far as i can tell after looking at the paint work from different angles . i really cant tell any difference:yikes:

If you would put them in full sun light that might help to judge between the two. The shade isn't showing any difference.

Thanks for the test Tom! Did you get any good beading shots? How about durability? That'd be a great test!

Very interesting test...well done. From what I can see I would hazzard a guess and say to me the right hand side of the bonnet (when viewed from the front) seems slightly more 'wet' than the left hand side.

It would be even better to take the whole side of the car with one wax and the other side with one wax. Better to see difference then, not just the hood.

Some of the main characteristics of a nuba are impossible to see in a photograph and must be observed in person... Depth for example, is a characteristic of a nuba... depth is 3 dimensional and thus, impossible to observe in a photograph.

So, with that said.. what do you think, what are you seeing in person....

I would have to say that for me the right hand side looks wetter and the reflections appear to be marginally more crisp with slightly more vivid in colour. Could be the photo's however so I don't know but thats about all I can see...From the photo's alone I would pick the LSP on the right.

Edit to add : B side in other words to be clear

I can't for the life of me see a difference :detective:
It is true about that 3D effect that actually being there has with carnubas though.
I don't think LSPs effects can be seen in an online photo, unless you've got one of these :joint:

I also think the right side reflections look a little more crisp.

I would say that Souveran is on the left (A) and Swissvax is on the right (B).

I say this because when you took the picture of the two waxes on the MF towel, Souv is on the left and Swissvax is on the right, and placing the waxes on there respective sides is the kinda thing someone will unconsciously do that may give away which wax was used where.:joint:

Can't tell anything from the pics, though, which is why I laugh when people will see an LSP in a pic and go "ohh WOW, amazing depth" or "looks good, but it seems something is missing" or something to that extent.

i agree in person is the best way to see the true carnuaba glow.. left side is glossy(souveran) right side is glossy as well(swissvax). the right side might be and i mean might be a touch darker glow. but very little .....

well considering that one side beads and the other side "sheds" the water, it'd be easy to tell which side is which :p

Oooh nice test...but to be honest I've stared at the pictures for a few minutes compared between the two and I can't really tell a difference from the pictures...but I love the beading shots :cheerl:

Thank you for the effort :worship2:
