Collinite 845 is a very durable, easy to use wax. Werkstat Acrylic Prime is a spray on/wipe off product with excellent durability. Are you looking for durability or do you mind re-waxing every month or two?

oops forgot to add 845 to the list.I love the durability of it but as far as looks go its not very impressive.i usually top another carnuaba over it.I usually wax once every other month if i can.I love the look of souveran but it doesnt have any durability what so ever.but again im just looking for suggestions to what you all like and reasons why.

Blackfire Midnight Sun is a great carnauba for dark metallics. Raceglaze 42 and 55 are nice on dark solids as is Dodo Supernatural. Victoria Concours (red) leaves a very wet finish, even on silvers. Menz FMJ / Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection are excellent sealants. Very bright finish and great durability with a couple of coats.

hmmm...so many waxes to choose from...so what I've done is I've started collecting waxes, collection is not done just yet...it will probably never be done but I'm still waiting for one more wax to complete the collection...for now.

As to what wax I can recommend well picking a wax is really tough, you'll get so many different answers and it truly comes down to what you like. So I'll just give you my :2cents:

For me, waxes I enjoy using are the following:

From the Swissvax (no particular order):
    - Crystal Rock
    - Divine
    - Best of Show
    - Concourso (sorry for spelling)
    - Saphire

From Zymol (again no particular order):
    - Vintage
    - Destiny
    - Concors (sorry for spelling)
    - Japon
    - Carbon
    - Glazur (I'm a big fan of this wax)
    - Ital
    - Atlantique (you'd be surprise when you use this, it sure surprised me)
    - Detail (I enjoy using this wax in interior wood trim)
    - Ebony
    - Titanium

    From Victoria:
    - Collectors Yellow Wax
    - Concours Red Wax

To be honest Victoria line is an incredible wax, bang for your money it's a wax that is hard to beat, it gets my :thumb: up.

Um...what other wax do I have in my collection...:shead: :shead:..um...I don't know nothing comes to mind at the moment, all my waxes are still stored in boxes at the moment but these are just ones that popped in my head.

Now for sealants, these are the followings I've used have been pleased with:

Duragloss (you really can't go wrong with this sealant)
    - #105, Duragloss TPP
    - #951, Duragloss AW (Aquawax)
    - #601, Duragloss PBA

Now from the Duragloss line these are the only products I've used, I've been very impressed with these products though and I'll continue to use this combo.

    Klasse:
    - Klasse All-In-One
    - Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze

I enjoy using Klasse but I always have a hard time with this product, always a pain to remove..but I keep using it because it performs well and it lives up to it's reputation, durable.

    Wolfgang
    - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

um..those are the only sealants that come to mind at the moment..I'm sure there are other sealants I've used but I just can't think of them at the moment.

If I think of any other wax or sealant I can recommend I'll post it here.

Hope this helps but keep in mind this is just my suggestion/opinion, hope it helps.

the collonite waxs have been shown to not only look good, but be extremely durable. If you want looks buy a nice wax if you want durability buy collonite, if you want a good a compromise but collonite it looks good and lasts forever.

What I find most interesting is how some use more exotic waxes yet others seem to think collinite looks as good and last longer. How would you respond to someone like that?

Of course, NuFinish users (probably more than use most any boutique product) swear by that product too and I know the majority is not always right.

Haven't tried all listed, but Collinite has treated me good. The 476s impressed me in shine and durability, color of my car is white by the way. Can't think of anything cheaper but doing it well.

Favorites so far for me are Liquid Souveran for black or dark grays, Natty's Blue for dark colors, #16 for daily drivers and Danase Paint sealant topped with #16 for cars that are outside 24/7

Hmmm.....would it make any difference if you put sealant on and then top it with a wax?

I agree. I put 476 on a clients white RRover and was quite impressed with how it looked. And for $15 a tin.

i use js 109 as my sealant and prefer swissvax waxes..

i have gotten 5+ months out of js109 and crystal rock and i mean the car was beading everywhere even on the hood without only using a qd about 1 time a month.. washes once every 1-2 weeks.

i am on month 3+ on my 335 with one coat each of js 109 and Swissvax BOS which is my new favorite wax below crystal Rock.. the stuff is just awesome!!!!!!!!!!! way way better than ezyme from cg in terms of depth, clarity, longevity, and ease of use... i use soooo much ezyme b/c it is so soft and melts super super easy and it is sooooo greasy.. i hate the color as it stains the pads it came with. plus i can do the whole car with BOS or Half if i am slow b/c of my bad back.

i have said before the reason i have seen poor durability with swissvax and other waxes and sealants is b/c they don't use cleaner fluid and don't have proper application methods.. cleaner fluid adds as much bling as any sealant.. the oils improve the bonding process and gloss dramatically.. much much better than hd cleanse and a sample of lpl from dodo i tried a few weeks ago.. cleaner fluid is amazing!!!!! the most underrated product out there imo.. i know it is expensive but a lil goes a long way and the stuff just flat out rocks at prepping paint and adding bling.. i have people ask me all the time who details my cars and i repl;y me and they all look shocked!!! i am no pro but in 8-10 months thx to the guys on here i get unreal results.. and i perfected how to prep and apply wax and sealant based on the looks and my longevity.. i know people who don't get 1 month out of js109.. maybe cg should strike a deal with swissvax for some cleaner fluid...j/k i know they have a good prep method.. i am just obsessed with cleaner fluid.. the stuff works and the few times i didn't use it my results were dramatically different.. i got about 1-2 months out of swissvax concourso.. i should get about 3-4 months easy.. as that is what i get now using cleaner fluid and one coat of js 109 and one coat of swissvax.. js 109 works incredibly with swissvax.. whether crystal rock or BOS i have noticed awesome results and so have many other on here.. the swissvax waxes bond supremely well with js 109..and since there have been durability claims with js 109 only prep and application methods differ and application is super easy thick or thin with js 109 it can only be bonding issues with prep. esp if i am getting 3-4 months easy. it would be cool if swissvax came out with a sealant to top with there nuba's but i can't see getting better results than with js 109.. it is like a match made in heaven!!

Well to be honest I've never tried Collinite, not yet at least. I've got some coming. In my opinion it all depends on what your after, since I haven't used and seen Collinite in person I can't really comment on the look, depth, wetness..ect..ect. That's what I enjoy about the waxes I listed, I'm all about the Carnauba glow and only by trying the wax my self will I see if I like the Carnauba glow it offers or not....but thats just me. I'm looking forward on using Collinite, heard great things about it.

Yes, in my opinion if you put a sealant then a wax it does effect it's appearance, I find it seems to take a way from the Carnauba glow that the wax has to offer....but keep in mind this is just my :2cents: when I apply a sealant and then top it of with wax I'm literally standing there looking at the vehicle just staring at it, sure it's shiny and all but there is hardly any Carnauba glow...what I'm trying to say is that it could be my eyes playing tricks on me when I'm looking at the surface...any who it's just so subjective but that's a just my opinion.

well i think the biggest difference between a sealant and a nuba, i'm not stating anything you all don't already know, is a sealant has a sterile plastic shine imo, a nuba has a deep shine, a glow as has already been stated, it's all in the eye of the beholder. that being said find the look that you like and use what ever products you need to use to acheive that look and use them often. i failed to mention of course the durability factor between sealants and waxes but sometimes that could depend on the prep of the paint, it always does. that's just my 2 cents.

    here we go again....

well, like all people say, it's comes down to personal preferences... and here's my preference for now...

the wax/sealants that I have that has not failed me yet, in terms of durability and looks.
    My personal choices are:

Klasse AIO and HGSG - nothing can beat the durability. tested over the winter season with the car being washed only once a month & sometimes not at all in a whole month. beading, sheeting and the looks maintained in the harshest weather. the removal of HGSG always turns off enthusiast but there is actually an easy technique to it. Klasse combo gets 5 star for me.

Jeff's Werkstat Acrylic Prime and Jet Trigger - Been using this start of this winter. Too early to evaluate but so far it has performed well. No down side yet. The plus side to this is the ease of use. I washed the car yesterday and there was obvious sheeting and beeding after a month without a car wash. The appearance is different from Klass combo. I'm not sure how to compare in terms of looks Vs. Klasse combo. I'll probably try in summer since my friend has same car as mine with the same color.

3M Show car Paste wax - yup! yup!. i'm still proud of this wax. In terms of durability and appearance factor. A very hard wax if applied too thick but with the right technique, it's easy to remove. The durability is great, the glow is awesome and for the price, no one can beat it. I usually top my Klasse combo with this wax. This wax gives that different glow.

Soon to try Swissvax Smaragd - I was thinking of putting it yesterday after washing the car but thought it would be a waste with all this weather here in NY, and without being able to wash my car in long periods of time.
