Wax/Sealant for Exhaust? Heat Resistant?

My brother has an aftermarket exhaust on his car that is very expensive and I wonder is there any type of sealant that is heat resistant that I can apply on the exhaust after polishing it?

Keep in mind I am not talking about sealing the exhaust tips.... the actual muffler part itself is a highly polished aluminum so the entire muffler and tip section would need to get sealed or waxed. Is there any product out there for this or no? I hate cleaning these things because road grime sticks on and becomes VERY hard to get off.

maybe the blackfire all metal sealant? or slap some SV autobahn on there as that should take some heat but in reality I dont think theres much out there that will be able to take the heat :S

That's exactly what I was worried about. I'm probably not gonna buy anything because it would be a waste of money to buy products that "maybe" work or "might" work. If someone knows a definitive product that is effective, I'll definitely add it to my arsenal. Thanks for the insight though!

Blackfire All Metal Sealant would work well...or some Opt metal polish has some protection in it as well. I have some SV Metal Polish but have not used it to give a proper opinion on but that has protection in it as well...(suppose to be a very fine polish).

The only wax I know that is rated for high heat(250f) is Finsh Kare 1000p High Temp Paste Wax.

YUP! Blackfire All Metal Sealant would be the way to go I'd say. Easier to apply onto exhaust tips than Finish Kare..

I have good luck with Zaino on exhaust and wheels, seems to handle the heat fine. I would stay away from nuba type products.

I've great results with Blackfire's All Metal Sealant on exhausts, brake components etc.

On exhaust tips in particular I will recommend you to use Briliant's Metal Polishes, before sealing the finish with All Metal Sealant.

Here's a few shots after 2 steps of polishing the exhaust tips on an e92 M3 with the Briliant Metal Polishes( 'Aluminium & Stainless Steel Polish' followed by 'Premium Metal Polish') gave it a wipe with IPA and then sealed it with All Metal Sealant:

SV metal polish is just awesome! It beads up water great too. I haven't had the chance to use it n exhaust yet, however it works really well on metal bumpers, badges, and everything else I have tried it on...

On my M3 I have a cat less exhaust which makes the tips black in about 20 miles of driving. What I have found works best is whenever i wax the car I use some steel wool with optimum polish and follow that up with prima wheel armor, SV autobahn, or another sealant. And for every wash I spray 1Z Industrial cleaner with a foaming spray head and it eats up the grime pretty well. I let it sit for about 3-5 minutes then I brush it with the EZ detail brush. That usually keeps the grime to a minimum.
