    Hi,

A friend of mine has asked me if I can remove the waterspots/ stains on his front grill. He said he has actually bought his car to the dealership but the detailer over there refused to fix the defects. The car is second hand, and the detailer said the previous might have sprayed some aggressive chemicals there, there is nothing he can do to fix it other than having it replaced.

I have actually tried cleaning them with Poorboys Trim Restore but the result showed no improvement. I am uploading a few photos of the defects. Do you guys think it is possible to clean the waterspots/stains?

    Any recommendations are welcome

Might have to step up to something like gtechniq. If you put water on it does it go dark?? They say that is a good indicator whether or not it will actually go dark again.

Tried the old soaked rags of vinegar on there for about a hour?

    What polishes do you have?
Hand application of a medium grade polish like power finish with a microf towel should have some effect.
Make sure to get all of the residue off with IPA and another towel

what kind of car is that. my brother has an infinity m35 with a similar situation and we came to realize that they place a layer of clear cote over the grill that is very very thin and weak. his has failed in many places and looks similar to what you have there.

It is a LX 570. But it seems like there is no clear on the plastic trims.
