Well, the sprinklers seem to have an orgy on my car once or twice a week. Being that my car is Midnight Black of course they are more than obvious. I went to clean it off with vinegar/water 60/40....Used a spray bottle and a foam pad....it worked pretty well...My question is, Will the Vinegar do anything to my LSP(Zymol) applied 5 months ago? And do i have to do anything to ensure no damage?

i don't think the vinegar will strip your LSP but . . . . . i would reapply LSP only because you mentioned it's been 5 months and that is pushing the limits of most any LSP. Better to add another layer to be safe.

id just use a paint cleaner and re-wax

most paint cleaners, even those without abbrassives, will make light work of fresh water spots

I see...i'm just waiting to get my Flex for my B-day to do this. Just unsure of what wax will be worthy of my car.:cig:

Will try that after my next order...vinegar took care of about 50% of the spots in some areas and 100% in others.

what kind of vehicle do you have as well as the color? Also, what's your budget as far as a wax goes or even a sealant.

Try duragloss 501 Marine polish it's a cleaner and very good for spots, I use it on a white pad and a da on number 4 and with great results, give that a try.:applause2:

I have a 2002 VW GTI...resprayed PPG Midnight Black from Uni Black after a horrific screwdriver decided to do laps on my car and write Puto on the roof....but o well..lol. As far as budget wih wax and sealant, i'd say prob $100 for Wax and no clue on sealant($50).

wow . . . . that sucks man. Can't believe people do such childish crap like that.

Black is the most difficult color to take care of but when it's clean it looks spectacular.

for $100 you can get a ton of good waxes:

    Swissvax Onyx
Swissvax Samurai both are about $96 ish

Dodo Juice makes some nice waxes

Chemical Guys 50/50 is one of my favorite waxes as it's easy on easy off and looks great!

    Sealants:

Wolfgang Deep Gloss sealant has never let me down

and from what i hear and personally would like to try

Menzerna Powerlock is great too. Both run roughly $35-$45
