This vehicle belonged to one of my regular customers who does a pretty good job of maintaining his vehicle in between details. His main concern this time was a heavy accumulation of iron particles and other contaminants embedded in the paint, especially the rear hatch. After discussing a couple of options he decided to go with my protection package and no correction since he plans on selling the vehicle in the future. Process: Wheels, tires and exhaust tips cleaned with OPC 3:1 Washed with Duragloss 902 Decontaminated with Iron-x Clayed with a Nanoskin fine grade wash mitt Dried via air and microfiber waffle weave towels Wiped down with CarPro eraser Sealed with Menzerna Powerlock How the GTI arrived Crud behind the license plate Exhaust tips needed some work Lots of iron particles on the hatch Starting with the wheels and tires Wash stage Iron-x doing its thing Clay mitt Taped the trim to avoid staining My sealant of choice applied via GG6 My OCD got the best of me and I had to polish the scratched out pillars Pulling the gunk off the tires prior to dressing Finally done
Very nice, love the detail, but in the future, offer him a coating job. More $$$ for you and superior protection for the client. A win win!
