Well the ttime was up for the summer shine on the volvo, the water tended to stay ON the car and i dont like that.....at all The car/paint isnt in a bad condition, cos im the one that take care of it, it my wifes car, and owned it since new so it hasnt seen much machinwasshers or filthy sponges. its from 98 and fairly good overall condition eccept some rust spots Well the kids came in after some snowing this winter and said they had shoveld the car free of snow, smart as i am i thought he "they aint that tall" and can NOT reach the roof off the car standing on the ground!!!! i pretty much understood HOW they managed to get the car snow free....How? well you start walking on the hood, then you reach the roof, then shovel the snow off pushing your tiny body all over the roof, voila! SNOWFREE...jippi....its one down side, small girls in wintherclothing DO scratch paint....go figure!?!, im suing the manufakturer of those winterdresses they wear, for all mankind in future. MAKE THEM SOFT...anyway, they get out off their rooms in middel of july....i think.. Seriously, ill call myself lucky, they didnt scratch the car that much, but it was noticible on the hood mostly, and like the pro i am :shead: thats a piece off cake...HEY, one good thing came out of that, i just HAD to buy a decent Roatry...well THEY had to buy ME a decent rotary that is....Hitachi...expensive one too...they are done åaying for that one when they are 18 years old.....hehe Meguiars MG 83 Meguiars Yellow pad Hitachi Rotary (thanks kids) MG 83 , ive always liked this one, with a rotary or da for that sake, does the paint LSP ready, and nothing beats that, still at starting point regarding the rotary, i get it pretty good but not 100% yet, getting better every day i use it, so practice is the key on those.. Yellow pad = medium cut, great with the MG83 Hitachi machine is also a great tool, soft start, quick stop and so on, not the lightest machine i guess, but building muscels at the same time aint that bad...juhu so after some correction on the paint on the places it was needed it was straight on the next step....LSP, as i had a "meguiars" day it was easypicking: Meguiars MG 21 Meguiars beige soft pad Hitachi Rotary MG 21 is easy as 1-2-3, goes on smooth with machine nomather what type you use, and are also easy to use by hand, same goes with removal, some MFs and its a breze removing it. After applying that i went on to switch from wintertires to summertires, that is a gooooood feeling... The summer rims got a decent wash, before i had a coat of Duragloss 101 on them to clean them up before applying the Swissvax autobahn wax, i let that sitt on the rims a while before buffing it off...this is def my favorite wheel wax, easy, easy, easy...... Got a little dark when i took the last pics... Rims after wash: After DG 101: Then the santa arived: And did this: Car: Blitz: Thanks for looking... And NEVER mind the typos....learnd Engrish watching cartoons...
Thanks Gary, yeah that SW autobahn wax is great stuff imo.... Sorry for not having more full pics, but when wife calls you inn....you go...he he
Those wheels do look NEW! M83 does have a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang out it, it is pretty rewarding to use!
I laugh my a$$ at your post....Dang she looks fantastic....Paint looks awesome...Wheels look brand new....Good to see you back.....:applause:
