Volvo washed and dried. Wheels washed and cleaned with Simple Green. Carpets vacuumed and shampooed with OxyClean. Not in to bad shape. Seats cleaned with Simple Green and conditoned with Auto magic Leather Care. The whole process took just over a hour.
Ouch, cimple green is too much for leather...even if dilleted...Maybe use it on vinyl, but I think it's too much for leather...
Agreed. Simple Green is not meant to be used by detailers ... Way too harsh and not worth the risks. Might as well use products that are specifically designed for its purpose- ie leather cleaner, wheel cleaners, etc. Also, has anyone else heard that Oxy Clean can bleach carpeting over time??
The Volvo looks great, but simple green is a no-no in my book to use on leather, and it's OK to Oxy-Clean some spots but it will over time it will bleach the fibers on the carpet. I would use a leather cleaner and then a conditioner, for spot cleaning carpets i use Folex. For major carpet cleaning then a extractor is one's best friend. But like i said the Volvo looks great!.........:applause2:
Volvo looks good, I personaly have never used this simple green product nor do I know how strong it is but I would have to agree I'd rather use Leather Cleaner and Leather conditioner on the seats..but that's just my :2cents:
OxyClean doesn't bleach carpets. Here's a pic of my Benz that I shampoo twice a year and the black carpet is still a beautiful black color. 2002 Kompressor I've owned since new. The service manager passes out my cards like candy because he's stunned how clean the car is after 6 years. All the leather and plactic cleaned with Simple Green and no damage after 6 years. Pictures taken today!! By the way, that's some damm good looking door jamms, if I do say so myself.
Simple green on the interior ey, my friend uses it on interiors too...I've always thought it's too much for interiors.
