I applied Collinite 845 to my buddy's truck about 2 months ago and wanted to check up on the beading. I didn't prep the surface with anything other than a strong dilution of CG CWC- no polishing, claying, etc. The beading is still pretty strong for only one layer. Here's a video of the powerwasher hitting it and a closeup of the beading. Vid of the beading Didn't realize how creepy I looked in the background until I uploaded it. Tight beading though.
You are preaching to the choir buddy! I have been using 845 for a good time now and I have been very impressed with it... That and 915 and sleepers that everyone should try... I think 845 is a bit more "bubba proof" but even 915 is not unreasonable to work with.... I believe that these offerings do not get the air time they should due to the low cost (relatively speaking). How could something so economical even compete with high end waxes right?
845 is the shit. i will ALWAYS have a bottle as long a i own a car and am able to detail it. its idiot proof, looks great, and offers protection that is hard to beat. and you cant beat the price either. out of all the LSP's i've tried in my years detailing colli 845 is the only one i know i will ALWAYS have. i wouldnt be without it.
Im new to Collinite, but last weekend I detailed my rims (OEM 19" - M3) and used Collinite 476S as the LSP. The bead and water sheeting is INSANE. Its been a week and 2 heavy thunderstorms (which i was driving in) and they are still very, very clean. Im leaning towards trying the 845 on my wife's LR3.
