As the title says, looking into a vapor steamer. I have been having mixed emotions on purchasing one. Different folks have been telling me to get this or get that or stay away from this and so on.... So what do you have? Specs? Links? Pros and Cons? Best place to buy? I am looking into something that will hold pressure well, stay heated well, and be very durable. Price isn't an issue. I don't want a cheap piece of crap, nor a $10,000 machine just because it is all hyped up. I am about what works, what is fair in price for what you get, and something that will LAST. No Harbor Freight junk No used machines No bull. So, enlighten me....:worship2:
Well I have a vapor chief I went thru same bs I got mine from Kevin at karkleen. I have had it 5 yrs now I use the shit out of it in all weather never had one issue with it ever. Not to mention the customer service from them an Kevin is the best I ever seen or should I say had from any company. Now it is not cheap when I got mine was 2500.00 I got a good deal at that time not sure what they sell for now from him but it is well worth the price. I got a second one in case it ever went down and now it sits there collecting dust so I use it once in awhile just to use it lol. I'm buying the new one to have to do outside of cars an trucks and keep this for interiors only check it out and if I can help just pm me.
Can you measure it for me? I am looking at the base only, height, width and length. (with or without the wheels) And then how tall it is complete with handle. I have an idea in my head and just want to see if it can be pulled off....
I just ordered a dupray ... can't wait. I heard good things about optima Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Not sure if you asking me or not but the handle on the one I have comes right off two thumb screws. It really only purpose to hold all the accessories and to move it around not a big unit at all , have you gone to the site check it out a lot of info. There .
I have a Gaia from Vapor Clean. It's a steamer, extractor and vacuum all in one. About $750 with free shipping. I've had mine 2 years and love it.
Richy. How long do you use it at a time? (As in 30 minutes at once) Do you notice any pressure loss, heat loss over using it for an extended period of time?
I've used it for hours on my grout. For a car, generally I'm done with it within an hour, 1.5 tops. Even for grout with prolonged use, no loss of heat that I could see. It kept cleaning it masterfully. Also, for grout, I really like that you can vacuum up the dirty crap right away too. The boiler has a 1.5 L capacity of water and the extractor tank has 1L. You fill it often if you're doing a big area, but it mixes the water with steam and it comes out piping hot! So refilling it does not affect its performance. I recently got some puke stains out of a cream coloured carpet when my daughters were ill with no problem. I was also satisfied that with the steam, any and all germs were killed.
I'll have to look into that Gaia vapor machine. That is one that is more in my price range. Considering I enjoy detailing on the side, I don't think I could convince myself on spending thousands on a steamer. Even 700+ is a bit hard to convince.
Do you have any floors with grout? If so, once your wife sees the amazing job it does on grout, you'll be lucky to get it back out to your garage!
