This product really does what it says, I have only used it for about an hour, but it was a champ the whole time. I was worried about all the plastic, but after using the machine, it is very clear that this has been built for serious cleaning. Not some toy. The BAD: Fill nozzle isn't designed well, you do scrap your hand while un-screwing, but the nipple is brass, and has a nice seal. The Good: The unit I have after an hour of use, was hitting near the 6 BAR mark on the pressure gauge. I assume this is because of the continued use, first time powering it up it was hitting 4.5-5 BAR no problem. You can get about a minute of continuous steam, but the key is to use the steam like a gun, and pull the trigger as you scrub with the attachments. Although I have yet to use this for detailing a car, I can see MANY uses on 'REALLY BAD' interior, think johny's spilled milk in the crevices of a door or some other crevice problem. I did my shower which hasn't be done in 'long enough' in 30 minutes. This is a tile on floor, ceiling, bench, and walls shower, with 1" sized tile, you can imagine doing it by hand! After 30 minutes it was better than I had ever done by hand. This unit has the gauge, which is VERY nice, because it shows you the pressure, and that is what counts. Also attachments appear well built and have stood up to a lot of 'pressure' which I would consider detailing quality. While cleaning this afternoon I also used a lot of torque on the tools, and found it to be of solid quality. Great purchase, wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Windows alone it is worth it! Did 4 vinyl windows in 7 minutes, I don't think I could have done 2 windows in 7 minutes the old fashion way. Car windows could be done to a streak-free chemical free shine in 4 minutes tops. Nice thing is that there wouldn't be any product dripping while you are wiping another area. Highly recommend for Detailers at home, and for those looking for that extra cleaner power while doing minivan & truck disasters commercially. I look at the tool as supplementary, it wouldn't take the place of a power washer (not this model anyway) or an extractor for carpet, but if you are sick of using so many chemicals on the interior (money wasted) you could use steam and probably cover your costs and save time. :headbang:
Informative review Ian. Can I ask how much and from whom did you buy it? Also, can you post a few pics of it. Thanks. I would not be without my Gaia steamer. Have you tried it on the floor tile grout yet? Most impressive.
