Went to the Vancouver Auto Show today with my girlfriend. Surprise surprise, the booth we spent the most time at was not MB, or BMW, or Toyota, it was Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram. We both love the Grand Cherokee, it looks a lot better than the Ford Explorer does and commands so much presence. Not to mention it was the first thing staring at you right when you enter the show floor. Other surprises, quirks, and disappoints: - Subaru brought a fat guy(I assume he's a professional sumo wrestler :shead for people to take picture with along with a Forester, taking donations for Japanese earthquake I think. - Subaru had a bunch of base trim cars on the show floor. Ugly and lack of presence. - Toyota brought the Prius V and LF-A :applause2:. I was looking forward to see the LF-A in person - Honda brought a pair of tuned Accord and CR-Z, also the new 2012 Civic Si concept, it looks better in person than on pictures. - Chrysler brought a Fiat 500, and surprise, my girlfriend did NOT like it :yikes: - GM was boring, I wanted to see a CTS-V Sportwagon but I was disappointed :waiting: - Infiniti's show cars were ALL black. Didn't think it was a good color to do a show with. - A coach builder brought a pearl baby pink 356 speedster(or spyder):headbang:. Looked great, gf loved it and apparently its a replica. Definitely cool. Back to Chrysler(can you tell how much I'm loving them right now? ). Besides the GC which was kinda expensive ($51,000 :crasy, the Charger was also nice, and they also brought out a Challenger 392 . GM was doing a contest for any brand new GM vehicle under $42,000, why couldn't Chrysler do something like that? Nothing in GM really appeals to me, they killed off the G8!!!!!!!!
That 6.4L (392) Challenger is nice can't wait for the 2012 Charger SRT with the same engine, think I'm going to have to trade mine in.
I know what you mean kyoshiro but I'm old, there for I'm old school, no replacement for displacement lol.
Ditto ... i'm not into the muscle cars either .... rather have a light european package.. or something like an Honda S2000 ...
I'm in love with the muscle cars, but I would look so weird in one. The Charger is really nice, but the dashboard is actually ridiculously high.
That is nice, I suppose you drive the car in your display pic? Though I'd much prefer a C63. That's probably what I would call a german muscle car. Grunt, grunt..... mroe grunt. Especially with that sport package that raises the power to something like 470hp. Kyoshiro: Isn't the M6 something more like a GT?
well the M6/6 series is suppose to be the BMW's answer to muscle cars, GT i'd be lookign at something with less grunt imo
The 6 series isn't exactly lacking in grunt either. Good taste you have Ken!! I'd totally be driving a C63 right now if I just had 80k lying around.
