I have delivered flyers to houses in person to over 2000 homes or so. My findings are the same as what most books say, about a 1 to 2 % response rate. just thought I would post it up. It does pay for itself depending on how much you spent on fliers and what clientelle you end uup with
Sad but true. I've handed out so many business cards to potential clients, my Acura gets all types of comments on how well i detail it (it's a 1998 3.0CL), sure enough maybe 1%-2% are serious about getting just a wash and wax, the others just want something for nothing. That happens just keep letting your work show itself, clients will come, but keep in mind the state of the economy, it's not your fault.:afro:
funny thing is m uncle says the samething. it really is sad nut true. as me.tooned though it does pay for itself at some point. when i first started out flyers were created on my.home.printer. i look back at my half page flyers and laugh but that accounted for a good 80% of my business at the time. i was so busy it was crazy. now its a bit tougher as security is.now.every where in my case since i target parking lots. never use to be that way. i find it.necessary to do business cards almost daily unless im working. of i go to.the.grocery store k drop a few cards, ifo go to run dome.weekend errands i.drop cards as the response isn't always instantaneous. one lady called and said she had a.flyer from like two years ago asbo stopped the flyer thing and use business cards now and she needed paint correction so it was nice to see someone.saved our contact info. this could be the start of a great thread.
