Used Extrator Questions - Help needed

I just found a "Ninja" extractor that Top Of the Line sells for just under $400...

I really want to jump on it but and leary of buying a used unit

What are some of the things I should look for when inspecting this (or any) used extractor?

Please be as detailed as possible with you assistance.

I can't say what to really look for, but I've used Ninjas for years (not the smaller ones, but the bigger ones, around $2500-3000 mark) and they seem to run forever. I just found out recently that you're supposed to do a maintenance/cleaning deal on a regular basis to ensure it doesn't break down on you. I never did that, and in the 3-4 years I used the machine, it never broke down. It also wasn't new when I started using it.

That's the one I used at one job, then when I switched companies I got a brand new one in there too. In Calgary they go for around $2500. $400? You can't go wrong!! It's an awesome machine, easy to clean out the tanks, and holds a pile of water (I could do a few cars with it and still have some water left over!). The only downside is the size. It's big, and it's heavy. Other than that, great machine.

 

Size is the only reservation I have..

But at $400 I dont know if I can pass this up!!
