    Hey DB

I have a lint issue with all my MF towels that I never had before. I only use mirco-restore to wash them, but since the cold months , I start using my dryer and now they all lint. is there a way to undo this???

    Thanks

I'd like to know the answer to this also.. I have a ton of gray MF from autogeek and they are all linting terribly. I always wash with free detergent and some APC mixed in and air dry on hangars.

Are all your towels the same brand/type? I have a few (the Autogeek ones) that are all linting, so I use them now to clean my wood floors in my house.

You could try boiling them, but with the time it takes, might as well order some new ones.

Boiling them might help, but it would be very time consuming and it may not work. Just demote them and get some new Pakshak towels.

I have a different problem with the autogeek ones the edges came undone after the first wash and I used micro-restore and dried on low, all my other brand microfibers are fine. Now the autogeek ones are just for cleaning glass.

I flush my washer with white vinegar. Then washed the towels in warm water and Mirco-restorer. rinse the towels with white vinegar. Hang them dry....n lint is greatly reduced

I wash mine in hot water with a MF detergent and white vinegar in the rinse cycle. Into the dryer on medium heat for 20 minutes. Let cool. Another 20 minutes on medium and they are dry with no linting issues. :)

it's the MF you are using, not your wash technique.

I had this problem with the ubers I bought a long time ago, even the replacement batch linted. I had to take the loss and demote them all to other duties and not paint. Same linting issues with AG towels.

Now I am well stocked on CG Fluffers and the Elite Deluxe... No more linting.

not true with me.... my towels never lint on me until I used my dryer. I don't have many AG towels, so i can't comment on them. I have plenty of DD towels and loads of stocktowelsnow.com towels. so far I'm happy with them. but now on I would only hang dry. my front load washer doesn't leave the towels all that wet anyways.

I just ordered 12 more Fluffers from CG. I cannot begin to say how nice these MF's really are. Never tried the Pakshaks, but I don't think there is any reason too. Extremely reasonable, effective, and sexy as hell!

I also just wash then with a free detergent and dry on low heat and no issues.

Quality Microfiber towels are split to produce millions of tiny fibre “hooks" on the surface of the towel. If the weave is too broad or the pile is too high, some of these fibres break off when the towel is used. This can be excessive if the manufacturer is trying to produce an inexpensive, split towel and is using a wide weave to reduce the amount of Polyester / Polyamide in the towel. Washing the towels before being used will help alleviate problem lint, also clean the lint screen before and after every wash session
