Hey everyone! Had a tough time finding an answer to this. I'm wanting to get a Griots Garage machine and really like this kit:

In the meantime, about a month ago, I ordered a full 6.5" Lake Country pad setup with 6" LC backing plate. I would hate to see those go to waste but if I don't need them, i'll just sell them.

Are the Uber and LC pads comparable in strength? Anyone prefer one over the other and why? I understand the kit comes with 5.5" pads and I already have 6.5", but i'd rather only one or the other really.

Thanks in advance! I've seen many here using the Uber pads and they seem like quality! Just want some more direct answers right now because the sale ends on Christmas day!

Ubers FTW!! the only pad I like from LC is their purple foam wool pads, others are ok...but not as durable as the ubers IME.

as said above ubers last longer the only lc paid i feel the need to keep around is the white works well on certain paints with m205

Phil, thanks for the offer! I would like to stick with 5.5" since it seems that's an easier size to work with (assuming I do buy this kit tomorrow) :)

Interesting first two opinions though. I like the sounds of this because i'd love to get this holiday special kit!

I would stick with 5.5" also for the little extra cut they will have...I do not like going over 6" pads on a DA...
