Uber Pads = Buff & Shine ?

I was browsing on ADS and noticed they carry B&S pads (with a 20% discount right now). They look IDENTICAL to the Uber pads Phil sells. (just no 6.5" sizes)

They also carry the "uber" blue applicator, which is just a B&S applicator.

    Buff and Shine

Am I missing something? I know Phil has the 6.5" size which ADS doesn't have and Phil's has writing on them to help distinguish them. Phil's prices are right in line with ADS's so it's just a question of "Are they the same?"

Maybe this has been discussed before, I couldn't find it.

Buff and Shine are good stuff. I have some of their 3" pads (yellow and white wool). They fit the 80mm bp from Ben perfectly.

never seen those other ones before but if Phil's are right on point price wise why not support a fellow DB Member/Owner LoL. Do those B&S pads come with superior customer service?

From ADS they come with great customer service too (same with Phil). I was merely asking if they were one in the same. I just got 8 Uber pads from Phil in today :) Though it seems ADS is giving you 2 4" pads for the same price as Phil does for 1 4" ... now THAT's interesting.

I don't care who makes them as long as they work as advertised. But we all know there are only a handful of companies that produce the pads anyway

I feel kinda taken or like something was hidden.. Obviously its the vendor who disclose what he pleases, but with conversation with him regarding pads, and getting kinda deflected answers I am kinda annoyed. I feel like it was hidden who made the pads we all bought, but again its the vendors rights to share or not share w/e. With the amount of pads and products in general, I bought seeing that ADS sells the same, but 2 4 inch pads for the price of 1 from Uber, kinda ticked.

did you ever stop to think maybe he can't get them at the price buff and shine does?

I assume you mean the price ADS does. B&S is the manufacturer of those pads.. (or hell it could be LC but rebranded as B&S)

yeh but think about it this way if in fact he does get his pads from them, maybe they sell it to him for not much less than what they are priced on his site?

i understand that you guys want to get the best price, and believe me im all for it. I myself always look to get the best deal, thats just being a smart consumer, but we cant blame people and say "I feel kinda taken or like something was hidden.." for something we dont know the details to.

not trying to start shit with you or getcha, but just trying to help you guys see it from another angle. like i said i dont care where you guys buy your pads from, just annoying to see Phil getting blamed and accused of something when it may not be that way. this goes for any vendors on this site, who i feel have been fair, honest and all about us, the customers. thats my 2cents

also like you said "(or hell it could be LC but rebranded as B&S)" lol could be, there might be a secret patent on all buffing pads like there is on clay

I'm not blaming Phil for anything. I just noticed the Buff and Shine pads look just like the Uber pads. So I asked and it was confirmed. Then it got brought up that the 4" pads are half as much at ADS (2 for 1).

Best guess like you said, Phil doesn't buy in the volume needed for those deep discounts on these pads. (This is just an assumption, I don't know anything about how much business he does) but I also know Rick @ ADS is a stand up guy.

right i understand, and i wasnt saying you were blaming phil, getcha was the one who said he felt he was taken. unless i understood that wrong
