    Phil,

I love these pads! Finally got a chance to use them this weekend playing around on the finish of my '05 Taurus and a friends '00 Taurus. I used the 4" & 5.5" Uber Green pads in conjunction with the Menzerna PO203.

The correction acheived with the PO203 and the Green Pads was IMPRESSIVE. For some deeper RIDS I tackled those with PowerGloss / M105 and a PFW, followed up with the PO203 & Green Pad combo and then 85RD & a blue CCS pad if need be.

Very impressive was this combo on one of the Taurus's tail lamps. The driver-side lamp of the '00 Taurus had never been polished, and there was a rather deep RID in the middle that was felt with a finger nail. Attacked it with the PFW and PowerGloss, then 2 passes with the Green Pad & PO203 combo. AWESOME results! The lamp was immediately noticely clearer, had a darker red and with the lamp illiminated, was brighter than the other lamp. I can see why many like PO203 as a solid one-stepper.

Forgot to mention this was all done via Makita 9227c, speed no greater than 2-2.5. Ample time given to let the product breakdown.

In addition, I forgot to add that the IPA wipe-down was necessary to clear the surface of the polishing oils. I would spray the panel down liberally with IPA, straight 91% and let dwell 10-20 seconds and wipe off with a micro-fiber towel. Some fine defects were revealed that were tackled again with the PO203 & Uber Green combo.

My friend sent me a link to a photo he took after I had polished the left lense. If you look at the two tail lamps, you can see a difference in calrity and color of the bulb.

    A System Approach
For the first time a consortium of German and American companies have cooperated to enable a unique solution for the care and maintenance of Nanotechnology surface coatings; an American coatings manufacturer (PPG Inc) a German abrasive compounds company (Menzerna GMBH & Co) the largest supplier of polishes and compounds to Germany's automakers and an American specialist manufacturer of Engineered European foam (Lake County Mfg) Proper Auto Care first started to import Menzerna directly from Germany to the US for the enthusiast market; as these products are formulated for German OEM and this is the market sector Menzerna wanted to concentrate on, PAC asked LC to manufacture the German Green foam pads for them as a re-labelled product

The Green German CCS 6.5-inch foam pads were specifically developed for use with Menzerna’s nanotechnology polishes for the new, harder, scratch-resistant clear coats these include DuPont's SupraShield™, PPG's Optech™ and CeramiClear™ the new Nanotechnology ceramic clear coats being used by Mercedes Benz. While these pads were specifically designed for use on these new clear coats, these pads can also be used on conventional clear coats and single stage paints. PAC

Is the Uber green (polish) pads are the same as LC Green (which one: coarse green or fine green)? I did not think there were related.

From what I recall the Uber's are to be the same/similar as the German Green Foam.

Green and PO203S is my go to combo for 1 steps. It has some heavy correction ability and almost never holograms. Very easy to work with.

The pics seem to look like the fine green foam that LC puts between white and black. The coarser green foam is a heavy polishing pad.

I have read there are only two real suppliers of foam and it seems like everyone is referring to German or Euro foam. I wonder who is not using the german or euro (we know the germans make great stuff...:thumb:

But you cannot always believe what you read especially stuff from sellers web sites since it is often just repeated from somewhere else.

I have one or 2 of the coarser green Lake Country CCS pads, and the composition of the Uber Green and LAke Country Green I have is indeed different, leading me to beleive that it is in between the white and black as you stated.

I have both green foams by LC (coarse and fine). I was just trying to place the Uber (which use different colors) into the mix since Phil has orange for med polish and green for polish, blue for final polish, etc. The DD website only mentions "orange" as German foam but cannot tell if the omission on the others is different.

thanks for the review that was great.

the orange is the euro pad, the green in a polishing pad more like white...

I tried a bottle of the 203 recently and have jumped on the love fest. It is a very versatile product that can do a lot depending on pad choice. It'd be nice to narrow my compounds and polishes down to just a few. 203 would assuredly have its place on the shelf. Thanks for hte review.

Is 'Uber' the make? If not, who makes these Uber green pads? Are they available in the UK?

Does the euro foam look different than the non-euro foam? Do you have a close up pic? Is the orange similar to LC orange or their coarse green foam (also called Euro foam)?
