I plan on doing my (Black) '03 Pathfinder with my PC. First step is 105 with a green or orange Uber 5.5" pad. I'll start with the green and do a test spot before determining if the more aggressive pad is necessary.

Next step with be Meg's 205 - at this point, should I use the green or blue uber pad?? I'm hoping to have it LSP ready after this step.

    Thanks!!

I suggest using 105 with the Uber yellow foam. It cuts better than the orange foam yet leaves a better finish.

With the better finishing down you should be able to get the paint 100% LSP ready using M205 and the uber blue pad.

But to be honest if you need a bit more cut to keep things as a 2 stepper than you can still finish down 100% with the green pad and M205... just really refine the finish at low RPMs after you correct with 205 at higher speed.

Unfortunetly, I don't have the yellow Uber, just the orange, green, blue and black. It wasn't on the web site when I ordered my pads.

Having said that, you're suggesting 105 with the orange and 205 with the green correct?

M105/Green w/ the Kevin Brown Method, step up if necessary, then finish with M205/Blue. Your paint is pretty soft, so you shouldn't have to get that aggressive.

if you use the orange you might want to hit again with green and m105 then blue and 205

You should do a test spot with M205 and a green uber pad using your pc first. See what type of results you get before stepping up to Meg's M105. You may find that you do not need to get as aggressive as you thought.

It's difficult to recommend a product for someone to use without seeing the condition of the paint for the vehicle in question, and also how hard or soft the clear is on the vehicle (assuming it's not SS paint.)

M205 via PC and Green pad may surprise you. If it works, two passes of M205 is better for the life of you paint than stepping up to M105.

Although M205 is a finishing polish, and it produces finishing polish results, it actually cuts more like a medium polish. Try the M205 first, and if it doesn't work on your test spot, consider other options (different pads, a second pass, or even M105.)

Always do a test spot! If the vehicles been repainted do two of them in different areas, that way there are no surprises.
