Trying to understand what I am doing wrong or maybe my expectations are incorrect

I have a new car and it had minor spider web like lines in the paint, not really swirl marks.

I tried the swirl B gone from chemical guys by hand just to see and it added swirls. I cleaned most of that up with 3M (perfect it II) rubbing compound by hand.

I still have some lines. I want to prep the entire car for sealant (Zaino) and I do have a PC 7424XP. I obviously have the 3M rubbing compound (I think its for 1500 sand scratches) and a chemicals guys product (V36) for 2000-2500 sand scratches. The V36 seems to add swirl marks when I test it by hand. Which product should i use? Should I do this by hand? with PC? use a cutting pad? or a finishing pad?

My expectations are an absolutely scratch/line free finish. Is that possible? Should the finish when complete with these products be completely free of any lines or do I need a finishing product to get to that point?

Using anything by hand really wouldnt remove much at all. As far as the swirls go its probably just mark from the product. Try using a pc with the v36 and follow up with a nice finishing polish. It should remove the light scratches. Just make sure u work it in good.

Thanks but will the V36 by itself yield a finish completely line/scratch free? Is that an unreasonable expectation?

I have a a green and black HEX pad. Is the green too aggressive for such fine lines?

Also, I am working at a 5 speed setting

It should but I don't know how deep your scratches are. Used the green pad with the v36 and pc. You won't harm the paint at all. Pc won't add swirls or holograms. Then follow up with a finishing polish with the black pad. Hope that helps.
