So the weather here in SW Ohio has finally cooperated with my school schedule and I was able to clean my MK4 today. I recently purchased Uber sponge from Phil, and Blacklight from DI. I had been using a Lowe's grout sponge for washing the upper half of the car, it is cheap local and safe on my paint. I finally gave in to the hype of the sponge and I am so glad I did. It is soft, yet very dense in my opinion. It holds a lot of suds and feels really good in hand. I would recommend this sponge to anyone, and if you think the price is high just remember some of the other stuff you purchase and what you pay, $6 dollars is nothing. So I got a chance to also use Blacklight today. Applied with a black Uber pad and my Griots RO. Very little went a long way, something I have a trouble of achieving. Let it sit on the paint for the suggested 15 min and buffed it off. I buffed it with a CG monster 550 and it came off so easily. I know they suggest to top it with V7 but I haven't gotten around to ordering any so I topped it with Power Lock applied with a blue Uber pad and the Griots RO. So far in the garage it looks amazing! I cannot wait to do this same process to the wifes 09 Sport Blue Fusion. Sorry for no pictures, wife carries the camera with her and my phone sucks at taking pictures(could be the operator I guess).
I got a few of the Lowes tile and grout sponges and they are very nice. However, the Uber sponge is so much better in my opinion.
Snapped a quick picture of the ride. Not bad for 183xxx miles. Tires dressed with a combo of white pearl and pneu. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
