Hi guys as I look deeper and deeper into my heart... I found true joy in detailing and am doing everything I can to make this an reality. So I made the sacrifice and do whats needed to move forward. bye bye Audi, and welcome Ford Transit! ( I'm still working in Audi tho ) I kind of need some help with shelves, as I have no idea...I'm also using this van for carrying my photography gears. Franki
Adrian Steel makes excellent shelving/organizers for your van. I contacted my local Commercial Van Interiors to get everything i needed to upfit my Nissan NV. They carry a wide selection from Adrian Steel and a couple other companies. Pics of my van build. I will post up some new photos later. I have recently added more shelves. quick clamps and tidier touch.
For shelving you can either DIY and try to build you own shelving or you can also purchase metal shelving but those setups can be kind of pricey depending on your budget to outfit it. I think your first step is to decide if you will be carrying water and if so how big of a tank. From there you will see how much space you have to work with. Congrats! good luck. Edit: You might want to dl google sketch up and you can do a rough design layout of the van relatively easy.
I like the looks of these aluminum shelves http://www.inlad.com/transitconnectsaseriesdividershelvingbyrangerdesign.aspx?DepartmentId=847
Congrats Franki. With your positive outlook I envision it will pay off quickly and you will be driving a brand new Audi again very soon.
Great looking van Franki, I wish you the best of luck in this field. I know you have a much bigger decision to make then this, so good luck with that also!
Nice purchase Frank. I am getting rid of my beloved Passat this year in favour of a Transit as well. Sucks for sure, but I'll get another one soon. Keep us up to date on the build.
Thanks everyone, I will keep you guys up to date on whats next! You will love the transit! It gets great MPG and it drives like a BIG vw golf!
