Hello all. Wanted to post up pictures of a Rav4 I did two days ago. The lady needed some correction on it. I am still trying to perfect taking before and after pictures so they didn't turn out that great but you get the idea from the pictures.

I have used the CCS pads for a while but tried the Uber pads for my 4" option and found that the orange Uber did better than the orange CCS. I don't know if it being smaller had a difference but if anyone else has noticed I would like some info on that. I think im going to get rid of the CCS ones and jut get flad pads from here on out. Still learning from everything, so if anyone wants to pour some info on me on that one i would appreciate it!

I ended up getting the small blower to help dry the engine after washing it and to get water out of stubborn little areas on the car. this is probably one of my favorite tools to use while detailing! i think everyone should have atleast one, especially for the price.

Anyways, tried lots of new products. Ill post up a pic of the three orders from difference places ive purchased :)

    Nice job!

How do you like the 1Z vinyl&rubber care?

Also, how do you like the wash mitt I saw in the last pic? I have one almost exactly like it, and it didnt impress me.

i like it a lot. it really brightened up the plastics and made them look extremely fresh.

the wash mit is great! i used that one all last summer and will be replacing it with a new one from chemical guys.

there seemed to be some sort of anti-corrosion stuff on there and i didnt want to scrub it off. plus i wanted to make sure it was kept as dry as possible so it wasn't damp when the car was started. just an extra safety precaution!

  6. Nicely done. That engine looks awesome, as well as the rest of the car!

Good move with the plastic wrap :). I use aluminum foil on engines to wrap the connectors and stuff but the plastic wrap is a great idea! Also, if you have some acid leaks/corrosion, Coca Cola will remove it... it's an old trick I learned in the Army and yes, it will remove it!

Looks pretty good but you really don't need to wrap the battery terminals. Water just acts as a conductor and so it won't really do anything unless you somehow short the two terminals by connecting them via a water stream. So even if you did start the car "damp", it wouldn't do anything. Ask Carlos, he should know since he's an EE. I'm just a silly CmpE (Computer Engineer) but I do know some EE stuff, hehe. :)
