Tools and Equipment for Different Applications

So I was thinking and am very curious to hear what everyone uses for different tasks of detailing. In certain tasks, we seem to use a lot of the same things but in others, totally different things. So listed below are some tasks that are common to detailing. Here is what I use.

Interior

• Floor Mats: Carpet & Upholstery Brush
• Vacuuming: Craftsman 12-gal 5.0 peak hp Wet/Dry Vac
• Steaming: SteamFast SF-275
• Extracting: Craftsman 12-gal 5.0 peak hp Wet/Dry Vac
• Vents: Swissvax Wheel Brush, Detail Brush Twin Tip
• Dash/Console: Swissvax Wheel Brush, Detail Brush Twin Tip, Vroom white microfibers, Chemical Guys Microfiber Premium Applicator (thinking about trying)
• Leather seats: Vinyl & Leather Scrub Brush, Chemical Guys Microfiber Premium Applicator (thinking about trying)

Exterior

• Wheels: Solo 418, Swissvax Wheel Brush, World's Greatest Boar's Hair Wheel Brush, The Spoke Brush, EZ Detail Brush, Lug Nut Cavity Cleaner, Vroom orange microfibers
• Tires: Meguiar's X1010 VersaAngle Tire Brush, Eagle One Tire Swipes, Chemical Guys Durafoam Contoured Tire Dressing Applicators (thinking about trying)
• Wheel wells: Solo 419, The Wheel Well/Fender Brush, Black/Black ShMITT
• Bug & Tar Removal: Solo 419, Proline Professional Tile & Grout Sponge
• Convertible Tops: Oxo Car Wash Brush
• Body: Proline Professional Tile & Grout Sponge, Excel Monterey Waffle Weave Drying Towel
• Lower body: Solo 419, Proline Professional Tile & Grout Sponge, Excel Monterey Waffle Weave Drying Towel
• Sealants: Meguiar's X3070 High Tech Applicator Pad, CCS European Hand Applicator Pad, Turtle Wax Foam Applicator, Chemical Guys Microfiber Premium Applicator (thinking about trying)
• Waxes: Meguiar's X3070 High Tech Applicator Pad, CCS European Hand Applicator Pad, Turtle Wax Foam Applicator, Chemical Guys Microfiber Premium Applicator (thinking about trying)
• Compounding/Polishing/Finishing: Metabo PE12-175, Porter Cable PC7424, Edge 3000 Industrial Adapter, Edge wool 6" pads (black, yellow, green), Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool 6.5" Pads, Lake Country Flat Foam 6.5" pads (blue), 3M UK 150mm pads (orange, black, blue), Ultimate 100mm pads (orange, blue, red), Detailerguy pads (black), Excel Erasure Turbo 4" pads
• Pad cleaning: Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer

I'm sure there may be some tasks that I'm missing so feel free to mention them and I'll update them to my original post.

 

Just thought I'd bump this up for the newbies to the forum if any of them were curious to what tools/equipment I use for detailing. A few things have changed since I posted this.
