Tolco Foamer not really Foaming?

So i'm kind of bummed. i have 3 Foaming sprayers that do anything BUT foam. and one leaks all over my hand with every squirt.

The mixtures are Adam's All Purpose Cleaner 1:4 and Megs Hyper Dressing 1:4 as well.

Any tips, hints or tricks?

You gotta squeeze it hard, they are not like normal sprayers were you can slowly press the trigger, gotta really squeeze it fast so the liquid goes through it fast to get some good foaming action. If you do it slow yes it will have some dribble out.

Dont think hyper dressing is going to foam.

I love foaming sprayers because I feel like it helps clean better, but dont like how you end up having to squeeze harder which gives you less control. More of a issue if you are using them inside the car.

Also the tip I have found does not have much effect on the amount of foam or anything so tighten it down and that may help with some leaking issues.

 

does anyone know what the tip on these tolco sprayers does? it clearly adjusts but i have yet to figure out what. i turned it both ways and the volume of product that comes out appears to be the same to me. any ideas? :shead:

 

Don't think it does anything, just comes off for cleaning I think. I have used it at full tight, and loose and no diff. in foam volume or anything. I have come to the conclusions it comes off to clean.

 

why would you want hyperdressing to foam?

 

not everything will foam. For instance, you can get Megs APC (green) to foam, but not APC+ (orange)...

 

ok thanks for the tips. i just more than anything wanted to try them out. i was expecting them to foam like my little hand soap dispensers. not even remotely close.. I think their idea of "foam" is to break up the water stream with that little screen to airate the stream.

 

Hint - for Diablo to foam it has to be HEAVILY diluted.

 

APC+ will definitely foam up beautifully with a Tolco Foaming Sprayer.

While not all products will foam up, it shouldn't be very difficult to get it to work properly. Just twist the cap and start spraying...

Just remember a few things:
1.) The Tolco Foaming Sprayer is super high volume so it will go through product like crazy.
2.) Sometimes Tolco sprayers are defective right from the beginning or they get defective very quickly. Could be what's happening to you, you should try swapping sprayers since you purchased three of them.
