This was a fun one at least for me to do. Car came to me in dire need of help. Paint had almost NO protection on it what so ever. Being all single stage paint except for the front bumper, fenders and hood (More on that later) The sun was really taking a toll on the paint. There was moderate oxidation on the roof, trunk and rear spoiler. The car was covered in some of the most concentrated swirls i have every seen, as well as alot of deeper RIDS. I was able to achieve about 90% correction with only a two step system.

Took some initial pictures later in the evening at about 5:00PM as the sun was starting to set.

Even in the dimming sunlight you can see just how badly this car was swirled from over 12 years of improper was techniques!

Pulled the car up to start it's transformation.

Started with the rims and tires.

Optimum PC 3:1 used on tires
    Sonax on Rims

Sprayed on and left to dwell. Then followed by me with various brushes.

Car was the foamed using CG Citrus Wash with a few ounces of APC added.

Washed using the two bucket method, partially dried then pulled inside for the REAL fun.

Clay barred then followed by two IPA wipedowns.

    Contaminants from just the hood.

Front Right Fender after 2 IPA wipedown's.

    Tapped up ready for polishing.

Meg's MF cutting discs with D300 used as initial step. Followed by 106FA on DD Uber Green pads.

Front fender saw the most drastic improvements.

Front bumper, fenders and hood were all resprayed and were CC. Rest of the car was single stage weird for a 99?

Me working it on the hood.

Finished the car with the same combo. Menzerna Powerlock was then applied as the LSP.

Rims sealed with Rejex and tires dressed with CG VRP.

Pulled the car outside for some final sun shots.

Very nice 50/50's, I must get a RO polisher with the MF system..did you happen to have a chance on taking on the headlights, the owner must be aware of the dire need of wet sanding/polishers of his headlights, especially the front ones

    Looks really good dude.

Was that a lot of pressure you were applying when doing the hood or is that your normal stance?

The 50/50 turned out great! If that doesn't show people the skill level you have I don't know what will.

I agree, the MF system cuts SO much time out of the polishing process. Owner opted against having them done at this time. They're in dire need of wet sanding and polishing!

Thank you! I was applying ALOT of pressure on the hood as most of the defects were VERY concentrated and pretty deep. With the MF system i've found the more pressure the more cut.

Agreed... the GS has aged very well as compared to a lot of other cars of the same 'era'.

Excellent work! That thing was ROUGH at the start.
