Any one have any tips for cleaning tires. My normal method is just spraying them with either an APC or a degreaser letting it sit for 30 seconds, brush with a stiff brush and then rinse. However even after that they still have that brown tinge to them and I would prefer a nice matte black look where tire shine is not necessary. Any thoughts?
Try ARO, followed by a tire shine, then buff the tire shine to a matte finish. From my experiences your not going to be able to get a decent looking tire without some form of tire shine. There are plenty on the market that offer a more matte finish instead of shiny.
Try Autoglym Custom Wheel Cleaner. I have used it AFTER P21S, ARO, Menz 7.5 and Autoglym PM2 and it still pulled more dirt out of the tires. By far my fav tire and wheel cleaner.
ARO is pretty decent but E1 A2Z Wheel & Tire Cleaner is even better. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.
Tyre Cleaner: For any type of protect ant to work well on rubber first remove any brake dust, road tar, grease and grime, wax and dead rubber from the surface to properly clean it.
