I read online that tire sealant lasts longer than tire dressing...
has anyone used both at the same time, one after another?

How often do you wash your car? Do you clean your wheels/tires EVERY TIME you wash your car? There are products that might last up to 1 month in my experience, but then again it depends on how many miles you drive and your climate.

I've been playing around with a new product from Prima called Infinity. So far I'm getting over a month on tires and trim with it.

wash my car at least once or twice a week depending on weather. i try to clean my tires every time, given the opportunity and the time to do so.

JumboJet- do you have any pics?

Sounds a bit excessive. I've found tires don't need a cleaning very often if you use a water based dressing. I probably do a deep cleaning scrub every 5th wash. But I usually apply more dressing every wash.
