Tire Bead Sealant on Rims?

Hello All,

Does anyone have any experience getting this stuff off wheels? The wheels in question are painted aluminum, short of trying to scrape it off (which has its own pitfalls) what product(s) do you guys use to get rid of it without damaging the wheels? I've already tried my usual arsenal and this stuff is just hardened on there.
