"The what did you get for Christmas" thread

We had Christmas early, the 24th, since the Kids have to go to their "other" parents' house.

My B-day was the 23rd, so I got some Kobalt tools and a few CD's. (and a cake too!)

For Christmas presents, I got a ton of Craftsman Tools, Grand Tourismo 5, which is going back becasue I don't like it that much after playing it, $300 credit towards getting vinyl on my van, and a few other odds and ends.

I bought the Ms. a diamond cross necklace, jewelry box, gift card to Bath and Body, sweatshirts & T-shirts, smelly stuff for the house, and an XBox/Kinect bundle. (and some misc. stuff.)

We're going to Vegas for a week starting the 26th for our after Christmas Vacation, after much debate on where to go. We wanted up North, but with the storms going on, we decided to stay South.

For my present to myself, my van wis going to the paint shop to get the passenger side painted while I am gone. Then Vinyl will be applied. (after proper cure time of course)

my christmas present... maybe i'll get "something" in vegas tmr (yes im flying there tmr, just got back down from Whistler last night)

 

I paid off my credit cards........... like I always do in december LOL

 

Maybe not a "present" but I did receive a letter from my mortgage company saying I was approved for a trial home loan mod, $1300 a month lower than what I pay now! It was a much needed "gift".

Well for me its more like what others in the fam got

Dad:
Samsung Bluray player- finally can watch my 1080p movie rips (I still need to get a 16gb flash drive)
Logitech Harmony 650- awesome remote, programed it with channel favourites, and this thing is a must!
Canon S95- a MUCH needed improvement over the crappy olympus, I love it! And i will come in handy to show off future details etc.

Me:
Logitech K800 keyboard- mainly because I type in the dark a lot
Clothing... tons of it
And for me by me, 10 packs of Ricardo Clay, and some microfiber!

Ohh, and I'm polish, gifts after family dinner on eve.

 

We did stocking stuffers last night but I had got myself an early gift early this week.

 

Me and the wifey got an all expenses paid trip to Pahrump,NV to a four day defensive hand gun training at a place called Front Sight!!! Beyond awesome!

 

Now that sounds awesome! Please take lots of pics and let us know how it goes. When are you going?

 

I knew I was getting a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite A665) as I picked it out...but I was NOT expecting an iPhone 4! And I got the Raceglaze brush set as well, itching to try them out. And some of the little things I got are the coolest, a couple different colors of ink for my fountain pens, an invite to a place selling a load of fountain pens, and the Doctor Who specials.

 

Nice, fountain pen under eh? I AK one also, not seem many here. Use manly Rotring 600s.

I wanted expensive gifts this year so i just asked for money and i picked up the rest since i cant expect them to pay for my tastes.lol. I bought myself a Flex3401 VRG and a Nikon D3100. My parents still got me stuff to open for christmas so i got under armour style shirts for work, and the typical boxers and a Pittsburgh Penguins shirt. After i pay off my credit card for the camera im hoping to get headers for the Z06. Its in storage untill the end of feburary possibly longer so i have time.
My parents and brother:
My dad gets best buy gift cards every year but hes recently collected a bunch so i had to settle for money.Something i dont like doing but as a family we arent very materialistic so its hard to buy for each other.
My moms laptop died a few weeks ago so we put money towards here new laptop.
My brother needed a computer desk so i bought him 1 as well as a battery back up since his fried.

We did learn a lot! The instructors were top notch, but it was cold and raining so it made some things a little difficult.

Kind of sucks that Nevada doesn't recognize Texas CHL (Concealed Handgus License) But oh well
