So total I took order of the new dodo Juice Spin doctor, Yes it only come's in M14. No it does not have a variable speed trigger (I don't want one simply because I don't trust myself). + when the digital is good to the hundredth Rpm, so who needs one anyway.

So I spent 197 on the polisher and the rest on the adapter. For all you with Eu spec polisher this will make your life alot easier, cheaper and you will have alot more & nicer options.

Overall, I'm excited with the digital readout, dodo juice case and the incredible light weight of just 4.8 pounds. I will post a review once it come's some time this week. :)

Seems interesting. That digital speed control is cool, but would probably be a pain if you wanted to bump up/down several hundred RPM quickly.

To be honest, I'm not sure but I'm sure dodo juice sourced someone half way decent.

  6. What kinda power does it put out? Whats the warranty? Is it avalible in the states? Sounds expensive to me

Price was good till the shipping came in. Honestly compared to the other high end rotors the price is still awesome. The real price is 89 pounds but shipping was another 56 pounds! So basically it would have been around 130. It isn't available in the state's right now, it just came out in august for the european side.

Power is good Rpm 1000 - 3000 digitally variable down to the hundredth. The weight is 4.3 lbs and the Tq is good as well. Also the cord is extremely long which is a nice feature.

Same thing I was thinking. That is a very nice way to control speed though, might pick one up to play with.

Wonder if maybe they have it so a continuous hold on the + or - drops the RPMs quickly or at a staggered pace.

Also it's a 10 amp vs most here in the us are 11 so it's a tid bit more energy friendly. Almost forgot anyone else looking to not wait for the US version will have to buy an AC power adapter. I got mine off ebay for 3$.

Alright, update. Kind of annoyed but... it was still worth it. After doing a first test I was ecstatic with the results - one thing. I'm functioning at about 45% power.

    Tools used
    Dodo Juice spin doctor W/case
    110V outlet (You have)
110V outlet to UK spec 3 prong adapter
M14 female to 5/8 male adapter

Max speed acquired 1350 rpm (calculated) Due to the lack of power 110v used however it requires 220-240v. If functioning at 110 it's only getting about 45% power out of the 240 required. Basically when I turn it to max speed of 3000 I'm getting about 45% of that so roughly 1350 rpm actual was 1374 rpm at a speed setting of 3.0 (3,000). In order to run 240v and supply it with 1100 watts you MUST buy a step up ac power converter. Basically in order to run a uk spec polisher then must be fed more power then what the US and Canada supply normally.

Additional item's required to run at 100% efficiency.

Overall, very smooth. Decent torque but what make's it worth it is the extremely light weight of 4.5 lbs with adapter and 3m backing plate.

    Pro's

Light weight - 4.5 lbs with all attachments

Awesome case - Looks awesome and holds the adapters and backing plate + some pads

Digital Rpm control - HUGE plus, it absolutely is a MUST have. After. using this I feel I can trust my self even more. It allows you to really bring the science out of detailing with using the exact rpm and correct pad + polish, it really allows you to keep track of what works the best (key for saving time and eliminating the guessing games of exact speed).

Very maneuverable - small size with the nice side grip I can hit all corners including all those pita spots like the rear bumper corners etc.

1 year warranty - Note you must pay for postage back

    Con's

Louder then a good number of rotaries. (I compared it too my hitachi sp18va, however that is probably one of the most quiet rotaries I have ever used.)

Adapters - definitely a pain, not cost effective and more stuff to use in general. The pro's of it though are once you have these item's you can eventually use them for other polishers including awesome tools such as festool and 3m rotaries.

Price is cheap or expensive, if you buy it at the right time. Ranged between 158 shipped to the most recent of 231.50 shipped.

Wait time - Expect to be with out it all for at-least a week. The polisher itself I4 ships next day but the adapters will take longer.

No variable trigger - I personally don't like the variable trigger simply because it's a rotary and there is no room for error. I'm sure other will dis agree.

    Bottom line ~

    Total cost
Expect to pay around 250 - 280 usd for everything.

Dodo Juice spin doctor 182.50 shipped @ 9,21,2010 PRICES FLUX, right now it is at 231.50.
    110V outlet (You have)
110V outlet to UK spec 3 prong adapter (4.50 shipped) Note you do not need this if you buy the power converter.
    1500 W Watt Step Up/Down Voltage Converter Transformer - Price 65.00 shipped
M14 female to 5/8 male adapter 12.50 shipped

    The Verdict
In my opinion this is worth it because of the weight, efficiency and the precise control of speed.
