New Audi S7 Sportback shares much of its DNA with the S6 - including the 4.0 TFSI unit with 420 HP The S7 Sportback has arrived. Sharing most of its DNA with its S6 sibling, the 2012 Audi S7 Sportback comes with the same power plant - the 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo V8. As in the S6, the unit is good for exactly 420 PS (309 kW / 414 bhp) and 550 Nm (405.66 lb-ft) of torque while the S7's configuration features the same cylinder deactivation technology, stop-start system and energy recuperation as in S6. The gearbox is also the 7-speed S-tronic transmission. On the (quattro) all-wheel drive S7, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 4.9 seconds. The commonality with the S6 continues with the air suspension and the 19-inch wheels upon which the S7 rides. The interior features S badging and a red ring around the start-stop button as well as the S7 logo on the illuminated door sills.
