I had my first brush with the generosity of those on these boards thanks to Al-53.. We had been talking about polish and I was asking a ton of questions.. out of the blue he offered to send me some SIP, 106ff and two lo-pro orange LC pads.. I was like:gasp: I could not believe it I was totally and completely shocked..Well needless to say since using the Menzerna he sent me I have not looked back and now have SIP, 106ff, PG and FPII. I had never EVER in my life experienced such generosity, I was honestly in awe. Well since then I have had the pleasure of making good buds with WolfPacker92.. I think we 1st started PM'ing about Menzerna. We have sent quite a few packages of products back and forth and I have to tell you this little "sample trading" we have going on has been really sweet.. Well fast forward to today at work, sitting at my desk:computer:and two boxes are dropped off :woot:- one from another detail buddy (RTexasF on AG and Autopia) and a package from Wolf... the odd thing was that for the life of me I couldn't remember what we were swapping:shead:.. But considering how often we send stuff back and forth I figured I must have forgotten what we had arranged. So I get home and open the box thinking once I saw what was in there it would all come back to me ... WRONG...:what: It wasn't a swap it was a gift, :what:he remembered I am a single dad and wanted me to have a gift for christmas.....I honestly am in utter and complete shock:gasp:, awe :what: and appreciation:cheers:. I am again BLOWN AWAY!!! Amazing, just amazing:dance: Another cool thing about it is that my son gets bummed if I don't have a gift to open so for the past two years I have purchased a gift for myself and put it under the tree from "Santa" this year I will have a real present under the tree and that just rocks!!!!:headbang: Inside were some tasty CG and MENZERNA treats. He is a mad man at the game he is half way done with hard level.. I don't know how he does it - I sit there watch him and feel so not worthy....lol

I have a CG Wet mirror shine sample on route from wolfpacker, who does he think he is the detailing world's Santa Clause??? :thumb: All it took was a question from me about the product and he told me I needed to try it and was sending me some, people dont get any more bad ass! :chest: I trade stuff all the time with trhland (Tom) because he is local to me, he actually gave me an AG foam gun because he had two, very cool of him. Since day one ive been amazed by how many genuinely cool people Ive interacted with do to detailing, you guys rock :headbang:
I have been very fortunate too, heck if it weren't for FMINUS I wouldn't be the CG Junkie that I am! He has been very generous and helpful in guiding me as to which products to try and which ones would just be a waste of my time. He has yet to be wrong! I have always believed that if you have good fortune you should pay it forward, especially when it comes to detailing! :woot:

"the circle of detailing life"... ha ha Detaliers Santa.. funny stuff!!! See now that's what I am talking about, I never would have believed this went on had I not seen it 1st hand!
I am very pleased for you. Random acts of kindness can only be re-paid by another act of kindness. I have been a recipient of and a participant of the pay it forward fun. It truly give s a good feeling to both parties and I am glad that the pay it forward spirit is burgeoning.

That would be hard for me to do because as FMINUS has told me many times detailing is so subjective. It just so happens that he knows I share the same tastes as him when it comes to the type of look I'm going for when I detail a vehicle. He also knows the vehicles I have and I think a lot of products are very vehicle/paint color dependent, so a lot of his recommendations come from that knowledge he has. For example I love Surf City Beyond Black but I would never recommend it to Dust2Glory because I know enough about him and the look he likes on tires and SC would not satisfy him. However, I know MotorCity likes the same look I do on tires so I would recommend it to him. FMINUS has used so many different products that he is like my own little detailing database, but it works for me because his tastes are so similar to mine! It is such a tremendous help when you get to know some of these guys on a more personal level because they know what to recommend to you for you to get the look you want. I have been really fortunate to have that luxury with some of these guys, and there are some I'm trying to get to know better because I really like the work they do and they already like a lot of the same products that I do, like the affinity for black and yellow MF's!
:nod: I 100% :agree: It's fun getting to know a bunch of detailers that have either the same taste or a slithgly different taste...I love it that's how I've been able to improve my detailing knowledge/skills :thumb:
Man people are so krazy in that game I can't believe how some people can hit every note on Expert level on youtube. I wish I can play all the songs on a real guitar though
