Saw it couple days ago. Pretty much what I expected but still a very solid movie (David O Russel), good story, great writing and the acting was a surprise as Wahlberg was great but without a doubt Christian Bale stole the show, he was more of a lead role than a supporting role IMO and he made Wahlberg look like an amateur, lol. The beginning was slow but once it got going it was classic underdog comeback story and done very well.
Bale was great in this, very sad yet balanced with some humor. Definitely a very good movie, and a diamond in the rough in today's cinema. I felt like some of the plot moved along a bit too quickly, but overall it was good.
It was a good movie. Without Bale, this one would have tanked. I loved it when he would jump out the window.
