TAW or Grime Reaper?

Hey everyone, i was wondering, what is better for detailing engines, or would you say it is better to have both? Also are either fine to put on to the hoses to clean them as well or should I use something different? Thanks in advance.

I know several people on this board use TAW on engines with no problem. I've yet to see anyone use SC GR on an engine. I have both but have not been able to pit them against each other.

Thanks MadOzodi, I'm just trying to get a (start up)package together and trying to break it down into each section and finding what would be best for each.

You can't go wrong with P21s TAW. I'd wait until more people have chimed in before ordering b/c I know others have used different products with success.

I think TAW is safer. But I also really like Amazing Roll Off.

Now this might sound like a stupid question, but its TAW fine on all the hoses as well?

Can't speak to TAW being fine on the hoses as well. I've only used Simple Green mixed 1:1 on my one and only engine detail I've done so far. MUCH too strong a dilution ratio. I rinsed with my pressure washer for longer than I would have liked, but it had to be done.

Like D&D, I too really like Amazing Roll Off. Its ability to take crap that you can't even see off of tires is exceptional. Honestly, I think it really depends on how dirty the engine & bay are and how well you're able to agitate the cleaning solution.

TAW and ARO are two products that I think everyone should have in their arsenal. Since Deep Auto Gloss Salon liked SC GR so much, I decided to pick some of that up as well.

I like TAW over Grime reaper, they both work very well.

I use Bleche White instead of ARO, much cheaper.

Thanks guys looks like I will be picking up some TAW, Bleche White, and 303 for the engine! Also will be able to use some on interior and tires as well.

eyezack87 - I noticed that as well, also I only live about an hour from them and have a friend in the area :)

 I would have to say that P21S Total Auto Wash is the only product I use, it works great and I haven't had the need to use anything else.

But Chris' (eShine) new APC sounds promesing, looking forward on using.

Some other things I like about Amazing Roll Off is that it leaves a protective coating behind to help resist dust and rust, and its biodegradable.

A little late to chime in but I've used TAW and Amazing Roll Off. Both work really well but ARO for the price and effectiveness is becoming my go to for engines. Topped with 303 and it looks great.

On tires? I'm just afraid to get Bleche White on wheels, is it safe?

TAW is a safer product I use both but the taw is my preffered one, just more expensive. Grime reaper is more economical for use on wheel wells and undercarriages. I cant seem to get it to work well for me on tires though. :(
